just ordered the new xtang xceed trifold hard bed cover. I didnt like the hinge/alum panel look of most hard tops and didnt want a revolver. This looks really clean, recesses flat with the rails, and has a vinyl top for a solid, one surface, clean look. truck gets here in twos weeks, will update with my thoughts after install. Also got the carpet bedrug. turns my back into a soft trunk like space, which is perfect for me. Both items are on low supply

The OEM Aeroskin, all it really does is protect the front face of the hood, essentially covering up and sticking directly to the factory paint. A deflector mounts more upright, off the paint and is more functional in deflecting rocks and bugs from the hood and windshield.

The AVS Bugflector II Bug Shield is more in line with a deflector.

So, my main concern is stone chips, not so much bugs, so what do you reccomend? I heard you can put a clear ppf? Strip along front lip, would that be better?

For just stone chips which normally occur on the leading edge of the hood, then the aeroskin is probably the best option for you. I got touch-up paint to cover the chips for now but might eventually put on the Lund aeroskin to cover them up.

==>Bak Revolver X4s tonneau cover
==>Motorola MA1 wireless adapter for android auto
Duluth Trading dog hammock/seat cover
Ford rubber bed mat and tailgate liner

The tonneau cover and android auto wireless adapter have done the most to make the truck more comfortable and useful for me. (But I wouldn't want to do without the dog hammock.)
How do you like the Motorola MA1 so far? There were some complaints about how short the built in cable is. Has this presented any issues for you? What are your thoughts on it's overall performance?

My impressions and issues are described in the following posts:
installation issues
connection issues
power issues

I've also had the occasional disconnect/reconnect when driving. I can't be sure, but so far it seems to happen in the same place (a freeway overpass with lots of power lines and cell towers around). It's happened to me 3 times there and I don't remember it happening anywhere else. It may be that some kind of interference is involved. The disconnect lasts about 10-15 seconds.

For me, the convenience of the automatic connection outweighs any of the minor problems I have. I like it that I can just hop in the truck and, within a few seconds, everything I need is available.

Thanks for the links on your impressions of the installation, connection, and power issues, very helpful!

Yeah, the occasional disconnect/connect issues shouldn't be a big problem. Where I live in Utah, I have to go through a canyon on my commute, and random connection issues come up. Like your experience, these connection issues last only a few seconds.

I agree that having the convenience of an automatic connection outweighs a few minor issues.

I think I'm going to order the MA1, and the wireless charger.

Thanks again for your insights and recommendations!

Ok... Just getting started, but here are a couple.

First off, I found out that my truck has an ambient light. It's on one of the menus. Second, not much of a mod, but I found this cable and it's perfect!

Next, I got a screen protector, not because I expect it to crack, but because it the oiliophobic coating. What's that mean? Fingerprints. The screen now rejects fingerprints. Another little tid bit, that button next to the volume is the audio adjust volume, but it can also be used as an easy way to get out of Android auto (to switch from audiobook to radio, for example).

Next up, plug in bed: did the soldering already, but I'm going to have to get the right size hole driller before I can finish it up. This is going to add a switched volt readout, dual USB charger, and 12v plug to the driver's side bed panel. Will update when finished.

By far the best accessory was getting the rubber floor mats for the front and back. With the stuff I tend to walk through the carpets would have been destroyed by now without them.

how well did the elevate rails work? I looked at them but was concerned that the top would not really seal over the edge well and leak. In the end, did not order at this time with my hard tri-cover. but I see you did exactly what I was thinking about
the rails work just fine. They have a wide strip of thin rubber on The bottom. They don’t leak. The corners of my tonneau cover do a little bit.

Laid the plate out, penciled in where to drill and drilled pilot holes for all.

How I ran the wires. I used a zip tie to make sure there weren't wires hanging down.

You can't see it because the glare, but there's a voltmeter between the USB plugs.

After I get a spray in bed liner, I'll consider adding need LED bed lights and wire them into the switch so that the switch powers the DC USBs and LEDs. 😁👍👍
