I'm trying very hard to be patient with FOMOCO....their scheduling seems to have NO rhyme or reason...you would think in todays WORLD...with internet, the car line's forums...that Ford would KNOW people chat, message, post about when they reserved, ordered, etc on a vehicle...and when ford says "we go by timestamp"....well...plain and simply...that is BULLSHIT.

Vehicles are typically produced in the most efficient method possible, for the manufacturer, not first-come, first-serve to the customer. This is especially true on a brand new product, on a brand new product line.

I am seeing a lot of arm-chair Industrial Process Engineers these days. Some don't realize the actual, not perceived, logistics in coordinating hundreds and thousands of pieces. This isn't Starbucks or your favorite local fast-food joint.

If someone absolutely can't wait, I would suggest purchasing another product and one that is physically on dealership lots.

I'm sure it must be frustrating to see a truck identical to yours that was ordered after get scheduled first. But as has been said here multiple times, there are a ton of factors that go into scheduling and production. Most of which, despite the proliferation of information in today's digital age, we will never know about. It's a brand new product that has been promised for Fall. If Fall comes and goes and an order holder doesn't have their truck, I could see room for complaint. Right now, I see a bunch of first world Americans who are accustomed to near instant gratification acting entitled and screaming "It's not fair!!!!" I'm including myself in that by the way. Not pointing the finger at anyone. Most of us have fallen into this at some point.

So many complaining, impatient people. If you aren’t prepared to wait for a brand new vehicle that’s being brought to market go purchase something that is available now. Ford stated availability in the Fall. Fall doesn’t begin for another 40 days and lasts until nearly the end of December!

Just be glad you didn’t order a Bronco. I did. And I ordered the Maverick as a backup plan. Which is great since I won’t see a Bronco until god knows when.
- Have a backup plan
- Get your expectations in check

Well...if THIS is the case...why does ford say "we go by the timestamp"????????? Ford puts themselves into this situation by telling customers exactly that. I know EXACTLY how automotive assembly plants operate as I was a manufacturing manager for one for many years, and have family who work at Ford Motor Company.

When someone has a reservation made the FIRST hour.....an Order with an EMAIL confirmation dated june 10th, 10:30AM EST....with the vehicle being an XLT, Cactus grey, Hybrid, Hitch, 360 and floormats as the ONLY options, and see's MANY MANY MANY of those exact vehicles...colors, trims, options going by....clearly it is "more than the most efficient/logistics" issue...there must be regions, larger dealerships, etc taking precedent over "the timestamp/order" date....

Dude. Ford has a rhyme and reason to which trucks they schedule. Your feelings are not their priority.

We are all waiting for our trucks. If you don't want to wait, go buy something off the lot.

I DO have an bronco on order as well....as well as a Lightning...... but this picture below pretty much sums up my frustration with fomoco....so my expectations ARE in check....figured I would be FIRST in line for the Maverick...and STILL ford is screwing it up. FORD needs to get their customer satisfaction in place.

When was this ever stated by Ford? I have seen many posts to the contrary and many that also indicate your conjecture about the region/dealership allocation.

The dealership model is all games and who is bigger and gets more allocation. Sucks for us but unless Ford goes to a direct sales model and cuts out the dealer it's what we're dealing with.

Yeah, that sucks. You definitely don’t want to know my res and order dates then. Is yours a hybrid?
Yup...hybrid...but as you know...they ARE building some....35 percent....but still.

Yeah, sounds like that’s the hold up. But Ford has completely shit the bed with communication on all of their build and price orders. The bronco fiasco will definitely affect my decision on future vehicle purchases

Please share the source where Ford declared this as their build policy for Maverick.

Thanks.
