Anyone know about previous incentives and trade in values? I finally received my vin number from an order date in mid July. I've called Ford multiple times over the past month complaining of lack of customer service between the dealer I ordered from and Ford themselves.

But I've heard they will accept previous finance specials. How true that is I don't know. I've complained because I've lost $2000+ in trade in value at this time and they're were previous incentives and specials which no longer are available. Anyone know what to do or heard in these situations?

When I bought mine on 03/05/2022, the FORD financing options had not changed. No discount incentives since it is a first year vehicle (like it or not).

I did 36 month Ford financing, placed $2000 down ($500 Deposit + $1500 at time of purchase), bought an extended service contract for $3200, Oil change contract (NO judging pls), ZERO %%.

Not sure about your trade-in, but who took the trade-in? The dealer? CarMax? Carvana? Vroom?

If you are trying to sell your vehicle, try driveway.com....they consistently made significantly higher offers for my Suburban than Carmax, Carvana, or Vroom.

It's a ford cmax. Which is a hybrid. Kbb offered me like 12500 a few month ago. Private offers were like 13500 to 14k. Since then it's dramatically fallen.

I get with the new car and high demand offers aren't there but my problem is the trade in. I ordered in the first month and I'm getting screwed for to trade in. I'm not in some little market either. I ordered on Tampa Florida. One of the biggest markets. My dealer where I ordered from has done nothing though.

Your dealer has to go into the Vincent program and can access the older ford financing options from when you ordered such as 0% for 36, 0.9 for 48 etc. For incentives, I believe the only things available were teh College Student, Farm Bureau, First Responder/Military ones. Those are still in effect as well. As far as trade-in values, I hear you on that. I was hoping I would've gotten my car by now because I've lost $3000 in value in the last 3-4 months. I'm still making $10k after paying it off, but before I was offered more than I paid for my car 4 years ago. The market has been flooded so the values have gone down some, but new cars are still impossible to get, so they will still remain higher than normal for the near future.

KBB doesn't buy cars and their estimates follow a model of values that lags a few months. IE before gas prices went up. Give Carmax a try, especially with the magic Hybrid word. I went there last week to lock in a written offer on their estimate which was almost $1k higher than they had offered since the previous highs of last fall.

KBB offers is terrible - it is just local dealers - dealers will try to pay as little as possible.

Go through the online/large car buyers to get quotes. Carvana, Carmax, Vroom (I think someone suggested a couple of others). As long as you are honest with your description you'll get paid what they offer. I've used Carvana twice with no issue whatsoever, and Carmax once, all in the last 18 months.

For Carmax, I brought the online quote to the local store, they looked it over and gave me a check for the full online offer amount. Carvana is as simple as adding some photos for final review, then scheduling a pickup time. They'll either bring you a check, or you can setup an ACH directly to your bank account for payment.

Here is what I sold to Carmax and Carvana:

2019 Ranger XLT FX4 - dealer offer $32,500, others online $33-35k. Carmax paid $37,400. Sold to Carmax in October, took them 4 months to sell it.

2018 Fiat 500 - local/carmax/other online - $15-16K. Carvana paid $19,920. This was sold to them less than a month ago, and is already gone from their site.

you're not getting screwed on any trade in. It's a gamble you have made to try to ca$h in on never seen before high trade values due to extreme economic conditions. It's unrealistic to expect you will be able to get absolute maximum value for a trade in timed perfectly with best possible pricing on your new Maverick. It's too volatile and like trying to time the stock market to always sell high and buy low. If you want max trade value pursue that separately and take the best offer you can get instead of waiting.

For my 2013 Suburban that was in better than average condition and low miles for its age, Driveway.com paid $5-6K more than Carmax, Carvan or Vroom. A bit more cumbersome to deal with as their response times and the transaction process is not as simple as Carmax. But very easy to test the waters to see what they will offer.

Wow, just tried my '16 Fusion Hybrid -- Driveway is offering $3k more than Carvana. I guess I know where I'm selling in a couple months.

For Ford finance rates and incentives the dealer has to go into the “Smart Vincent” system and click on the protected price which is the financing rates and incentives (if any) at the time of the order or the sales date and incentives (if any) at the time the vehicle is sold.

Just checked driveway and they were by far the biggest payout. Looks like I'll be selling there. Thanks for the info.

If you decide to sell with them be patient but follow up and press with them before the offer expires. I had to chase after them a bit to get the ball rolling. It also goes at a slower pace than Carmax since it is all done remotely. They send you a bill of sale, you send it back with the signed title and payment details.

I tried to do a little research on driveway yesterday, are they new? Reviews don't seem too good, but those can get skewed. For me Carvana was very seamless (both times), one I received the check at the time they picked up, the other I opted for ACH which arrived the next business day. Carmax was also quick and relatively seamless - all 3 instances we received the full stated online offer without issue. Ease of the interaction and dealing with more established options might be worth losing a few hundred bucks...but if the difference is more substantial the hassle could be worth it!
