Got VIN from customer service

I’ve never received any communication from ford since my July hybrid order. I’ve been calling the ford customer service line about once a month since January to check my status. Called today and they gave me my vin and April scheduled build date! Still nothing from ford.

Yep, me too. July 21st order, received VIN from customer service yesterday and a May 2nd build date. Seems like they don't want to send emails anymore. Maybe because we are all complaining so much about them?

If they don't have the same email address that your dealer has for you that could be the problem

Ya, does the dealer have your email? You should be getting useless emails from Ford saying how excited they are you will eventually get your vehicle

Sorry to Burst Your Bubble but the only Emails I've been getting from Ford is Your truck is built and O yea it's Shipped also

You're far from alone. Ford rep on the phone confided the number of confirmed orders which never receive e-mails hovers around 40%. (Although I remain skeptical it's quite that high.)

I was in the exact same boat (Maverick driven home only last week). And yes, the Ford rep on the phone during the wait checked and they have my correct e-mail in the system. Some of us, for whatever reasons, are excluded by the metric Ford uses when it comes to e-mails; I wouldn't read anything into it other than luck of the draw.

I did say Useless! Also the only time you will get an email is when something changes in your vehicles situation. Ie scheduled, built, shipped. Trust me, mine was scheduled 2/4 built 2/23, shipped 3/13
And those are the only 3 emails I have gotten. Expecting more is not worth the energy. And oh ya. It's still in IL

I got my VIN from my dealer with a week of May 2nd build but nothing from Ford. It’s just so nice to have a VIN. I plugged it in FordPass and it pops up so it is real I guess.

When the dealer placed your order, they more than likely used the dealer email. On my now delivered XL, the window sticker had the dealer email. I never received any emails from Ford.

I checked with customer service and my correct email is listed on the order.
