Can you elaborate on clean vs unclean? I have chatted with Ford Customer Service many times and the only info they were able to provide was it was in Processing status and I would receive a VIN when it is scheduled.
If the dealer put your order correctly into the ROVP, the status should read unscheduled/clean, meaning no problems with your order. If it reads anything else, there is a problem.

Mine has been status "order processing" since it was confirmed mid December. I believe unscheduled clean and order proccessing means the same thing?

yes people have been scheduled today. They just aren’t sending emails out.(maybe their emailer is out sick) Dealers are calling people giving them their vins and dates.

I don't think it does. The dealers vehicle visibility report will show the exact status of your order.

My order is from Mid-October for a Hybrid Hot Pepper Red XLT with the only add-on being a Trailer-Hitch Connector. The Ford Rep claims my order is: "Unscheduled - Balance Out". "This means the order will not be produced because the model year has balanced out." I just contacted my sales guy at the dealership by email. No response yet.

Thoughts? Has this happened to anyone else?

Sounds like your dealer didn’t get your order verified in time for the deadline.

So it probably wasn’t “cancelled”, it just never got in the system before the cut-off date for all dealers to submit orders.

Good grief, Ford needs to demand that these dealerships train their people on the basics!

Popped in to see my dealer last week and checked VVR. There's 2 mavs ahead of me for their dealership. Got Ford confirmation email same day I ordered. Ford confirmed I'm in the system. ROVP was done correctly and I check status with Ford Customer care team once per month. Yesterday they told me status was Order Processing. When I said I expected as much - same as always, the guy told me it is waiting to be selected for Production and they typically do that on Thursdays. Also that they issue "batches of VINs" so when I am in 1 of those batches my status will change to In Production and my VIN will be visible etc. They could be FOS but no worries as I am in no hurry as I get my purchase funding together.

I hate to add even more speculation, but I want to suggest a more hopeful possible meaning for the conflicting message you got: "Unscheduled - Balance Out" on one hand, "keep checking, could change" on the other.

Background: Ford has told the dealers that they can't build all the ordered Mavericks with all the options, packages, and trim levels currently on those orders. They have suggested that dealers contact customers and give them the chance to drop certain features to improve the chance that their truck will be built.

So... It's possible that Ford's computer system is showing "Unscheduled - Balance Out" for the trucks that -- as things currently stand -- they don't have the materials to build. But if you drop some constrained options, or others ahead of you in line do so, they might be able to get to you. Thus the advice to "keep checking."

This seems possible to me, but I have no way of really knowing.

Unscheduled / Clean and Order processing are pretty much the same, just depends on visibility. Ford customer service will see Order Processing (meaning the order is being processed and awaiting a build date to go into production). Your dealer will see Order Processing along with Unscheduled / Clean (meaning your vehicle order and configuration shows no errors and it’s ok to build when selected). As stated before, unscheduled / anything else - there’s a problem with your configuration and your order.

That’s my understanding or the process.
