So this will be my thread on my impressions of my Maverick. It's a Hybrid Cyber Orange, has a sunroof, CP360, and SIBL.

So I picked up the truck from the dealership this evening, the dealer is 24 miles from home, 75% of the drive was highway the rest is a 2 lane country road. Getting home, the Maverick showed MPG at 40 and 5.1 on all-electric.

So I haven't sat in a Maverick before today, and I like it, the seats are comfortable the truck really rides very well, very planted, firm but controlled. The dash is clear and very easy to read, the radio display is cheap not very clear(cost-cutting.) Having to use a key to start feels odd, all our vehicles have push start.

The sunroof is nice, but with it open and the windows closed there is lots of buffering inside at highway speeds, never had a car do this...

I'll post photos and my thoughts as well as my plans and updates of this Maverick.

Congrats, good for you. Pics or it didn’t happen LOL

Cracking a window will help with the buffeting...

in my M5, I have no issues with the sunroof open and windows up just odd that the Maverick has it. More photos will be coming in the next day or two.

You poor, poor millennial. You missed out on so much, like three on the tree and using a phone booth. 🤣 Glad you like your truck.

Yes, and how about the light dimmer switch on the floor????
I actually prefer that. I never can remember, " do I pull the lever toward me or away from me"? I'm looking forward to auto dimming in my truck and eliminate that discussion in my head.

Ok, showing my age, but do any of you remember the starter in the trucks floorboard?

Day 1 (full day)

So far, I like it the Maverick, yes, you can see the price of the vehicle with the materials used, but then again, this was purchased as a commuter for myself, I drive 12.1 miles one way to work I also gave myself a budget of under 30K. The Cyber Yellow is bright, a couple of co-workers have dubbed it School Bus Yellow, I’m fine with that.

The brakes are a little grabby (this has been mentioned before) in low-speed driving. I’m still trying to find a comfortable position with the seats, the lumbar is really pushed out (must more than our 2022 Honda CRV) but the seat holds you in place (not as well as my M5 or Boxster) but good enough for city driving.

The Maverick sits up higher than I was expecting (this is a positive) and it’s easy to park, even though the steering is over boosted in low speeds it’s not so bad.

The radio is OK, the display shows the “cheapness” of the Maverick, the display is not clear (yes, the plastic was taken off the screen. The display in our CR-V is MUCH better clear then in the Maverick (is there an updated display for it?) the speed isn’t all that bad when moving from Google Maps to a Podcast. The speaker will be upgraded.

This was taken when I got to work this morning, have to say, was very impressed. Temp was about 58 degrees outside.

This was my commute home, temp 83 degrees. Had the A/C on.

Plus there is no excuse that they didn't see me coming.

I have a 1930 Ford Model A pickup, has floor starter above the accelerator button (no pedal) and high-low beam switch on steering wheel below the ooga horn button. I’m 83 years old & have owned it for 20 years, it’s driver, not a trailer queen.

LOL!!! Comparing the aerodynamics of an M5 with a Ford Maverick is like comparing a carrot to a watermelon ;) I've never had a truck or SUV with a "moonroof" that did not buffer.

It will probably take me forever to figure out how to use maps, but does audio come with it on the hybrid xl ?
