Anyone have/had this hood issue?

Yeah, the hood shake has been discussed many times in different MTC threads. As video guy mentioned some have fixed it by adjusting front bumpers and others have added hose to rear as he showed in video.

The hood deflector he has mounted has also been discussed as causing the problem more since it is a taller design with the lip in the middle. But it seems he was able to cure the issue.

I'm still waiting for my Mav to be built, but I plan on adding a hood deflector after delivery. Just don't know which brand it will be yet.

Yeah, I'm still waiting on mine too. I have a hood deflector. After market without the center lip.
We'll have to wait and see.

Do you know of any reports of the lower profile hood deflectors causing hood shake issues? I had not seen any yet.

I haven't seen anything with the low profile one. Just the Ford one..

I have the same deflector as pictured & had hood shake at higher speeds. I bought some 1/2" pipe insulation (soft rubber, not the pool noodle type material) from Lowes and overlaid it over the rubber seal at the back of the hood. Eliminated 95% of the shake issue for me.

I have noticed some hood shake, but once I put on the hood struts, it lessened the more aggressive shake when I am on the highway.

I think this is fairly common on newer vehicles, especially small-to-medium SUVs. My wife's Rogue with over 150k miles has the same hood shake and has never caused a problem. I just quickly learned to ignore it. As others have posted, hood struts may help if it bothers you.

I do have the Hood struts once I get my Mav. I'll see how it does after that. Good to know.

I don't notice any shaking at all. I will see about taking a video of it after I install my bug deflector. Since it is taller it should cause shaking if that is what is the cause, to begin with.
