I just replied in a different forum regarding painting calipers, and I realized I should also post here.

I'm not sure if all R.R. owners feel the same, but the shinny metal calipers kept catching my eyes and I wanted to subtle it down, so I ordered color match (D4) from G2 USA. I spent this weekend cleaning my garage so I could get the Mav in on stands to get all 4 calipers done in one shot (3 coats). I've never done this before, but got it done. I was happy to see the paint came out in a darker shade accomplishing the subtle affect that I wanted.

Ive been thinking of doing the same for the calipers, and because my rims are the all black ones, maybe same color for the lug nuts? Might be a little too over done though?

All washed up and ready for delivery tomorrow. My sales advisor is driving it 1.5 hrs to deliver it to me at my office (I think he is more excited than I am). Great service!

Well, I'm supposed to be in-production for the last two weeks on my RR FE Hybrid since late June order but no new FORD emails or tracking updates. However, many other June and July hybrid orders that are still waiting to be scheduled for production. May we all be scheduled for production and delivered before 12 months on our MY22 orders.

Hey all,

I got the Ford email yesterday telling me my unicorn has been built. Original order placed 08/13/2021. Estimated delivery date of 12 April. Getting close!

Haven't had that problem, and I live in Kansas. I own a 2015 Explorer sport, Ruby Red Metallic, that spend a majority of its life outside. (make room in the garage when hail storms are forecast). To keep the paint looking fresh, I clay bar the truck, and then apply two coats of wax to finish. Do that in the Spring and again in the Fall, and paint looks as good as new (minus the scratches and road rash). Clear coat has shown no signs of fogging, or pealing.

They are supposed to offer that on the Maverick next year. I saw that truck at the Chicago show and have always liked that color. When I went to order mine they told me that color wasn't available and the only "red" was the hot chili red. I was hoping for closer to that than copper but... at some point, the paint will need refreshing and I will get the color I want.

I had a Rapid Red Focus and really liked that color, even more than the '68 Cadillac Eldorado Red which was close to Rapid Red, just a tiny bit more toward burgundy with gold flake.

. I bought it from a dealer that ordered it for stock. They had it sold but the buyer backed out. I was told they ordered it in October.

Finally got my VIN and build week of May9 from the 800# this morning. I ordered my Rapid red first edition hybrid lariat on Jul 12 and should have it sometime in June...can't wait.

Just finished with my Roof Rack System install and added the Yakima LongArm to carry my Hobie Outback. I will eventually add the Bed Rack / Tonneau cover combo when I find a solution that I like.

I have read that other Maverick owners are experiencing paint chip problems.

Has anyone had this problem with the Rapid Red?
