I asked me dealer if he had any updates on my August order, and he came back saying it’s being built in April. However, when I asked him for the VIN, he couldn’t provide one. Anyone else experience this? Smells like BS to me.

If he says its going to built in April, he should have the VIN number..

I think the next build date for Canadian orders is the week of April 4th. That's what I was told by ford csr. And my dealership confirmed it. So hopefully we will start to see our trucks in near the end of may.

That said. For those around the Hamilton area. Mohawk Ford has an orange XLT hybrid that they will not sell. But you can drive it. And let me tell you. After driving it this weekend. I am even more stoked for this ride....

Let's put put positive energy into the universe.......

Hummmmm. Build my truck.....hummmmm

Better go for your test drive before the owner picks it up!

Unless of course you live in the states then they're all over the place. I got the same call about a month ago and I chose to go with the drop in keeping the lux. I figure I could probably sell the drop into an xl owner and then put my spray in myself. Shortly after doing that I was able to get a VIN number and then being told that April 4th is my schedule date see how that goes but I'm not dropping the lux package

Can I ask you when you made your order? I live in Ontario and have been told various dates for making an order for gas engine Maverick - some have said open for 2022 orders but one said open for orders for 2023 gas engine.

That's so frustrating to hear different answers from different dealerships. If the order won't be put in until August for 2023 models then is it worth it to put in an order now to ensure that my order will be ahead of those ordering from April-August?

Yea....I don't know how that works. If you would get priority. I figured that with putting my order in june would have put me top of the list considering that the ok to order happened much later. But sadly it doesn't. It's all about part availability. More chips. Longer delivery. Best Truck to order would have been xl 2.0l. With no options.

Could have gotten thoes right away.

Also I don't know if Canada is the red headed step child here....

I'm 4 months in and still hadn't heard from my Canadian dealer. On the off-chance he might have a VIN for me, I messaged him. Nope, but this is how he explained it me...which was surprisingly clear:

The way the ordering vs production works are two different things. The first thing we do, as soon as a customer places an order, we enter it into Ford Canada's order system along with those of other customers. Then Ford Canada allocates us monthly production, by model and they select the orders by date priority. The order was therefore put in the system in November but will not likely be put into production until late March or April....this is of course contingent on not encountering new production constraints.
Crossing my fingers.

4 Months? Relax haha. From order confirmed to build date, for me, is 8 months 7 days. With delivery being in end of June/July, that will be 11 months from Order.
