I wonder if everyone else is having the same problem with the tonneau cover from Ford that we are having?Sounds like there is a problem with the cover being to short.
I know the cover is not suppose to be 100 percent waterproof, but for almost $1200.00 it should not let as much water in as it did when I washed my truck. Based on my limited knowledge of tonneau cover construction, it’s not hard for the average person to see there is a problem with the front and back moulding. My back moulding doesn’t even touch the tailgate, plus it’s coming loose.

For $1,200 I would see if they would take it all back and get one installed at a shop that does this for a living. You might even save some money for a 3rd party cover that is better constructed.

That is shame that the molding is coming loose.I agree for almost 1200 the cover should be made better. I will be keeping a eye on mine too.My tail gate does not seal on the back of the cover it has 1/8 gap.The cover does have a three year warranty. I would have the dealership take a look at the cover. This is way to much money to spend to have a problem. Good luck! I had my truck to the dealership 2 times now to have the cover adjusted. It is a pain!

I can easily see there is a problem with the cover. The tailgate seal and front sealsis not thick enough

There is a problem with the Rev cover. Ford and Rev need to work together to get a fix. I can clearly see the front and rear seals are not thick enough. The corners need some type of protection.

I bought the cover thinking I could store items in the back without getting wet. This is not the case.

Ford wants me to take it back to the dealer. If Ford doesn’t have spare parts or a fix what is the purpose of me taking a day off from work so a mechanic can play with my hardtop and just move it around. I can do that myself. It’s not hard.

I just washed my truck and the bed was very wet.
I hope they come up with a fix.

I hope they do too! I told the dealership I could adjust the cover myself too but I shouldn't have to because they installed the cover.I wonder if anyone with aftermarket hard tonneau cover has the same problem. My cover seems to seal ok in the front but it is not straight across the bed.The reason I went with the Ford cover because I thought it would be better but it is not the case. Not happy with Ford and I will be a pain over the tonneau cover if I have a more of a problem with it

I got the Undercover Ultra Flex. It fits fine front to back and on the side. There is still a little water in rain and washing. Nothing unexpected. These things don't seal well in the corners. Also with the gaps in the bed bottom water will spray in from the road while you drive. I do agree the cover Ford supplies is too short. Almost all manufacturers have the bed length at 5' 4" whereas it is 5' 6" 4'4" whereas it is 4'6".

Thanks for the post.i do see too about the corners .i will keep a eye on water coming in.Even with the gap in the back so far it has not been to bad with the water when it rains but the cover should have been a little longer

I would say too from what I see the cover is not square and maybe a little short too. I was wondering if another Maverick owner had the same problem with hard roll up cover from Ford.I think too the dealership should have sent the cover back to Ford. The cover does have a 3 year warranty
I have the same cover. The dealer has installed 2 of them and both are to short and leak. Here is where it gets crazy dealer said they have done all they can do. Company that made it told me to stop calling them as they don't deal with individuals their contract is with Ford Motor Company. To say I am pissed off is the under statement $1159.00 dollars wasted and Ford nor the company will make it right

Thanks for letting me know you have the same problem. It sinks that Ford will do nothing to fix the problem. Maybe if others have the same problem and start complaining to their dealer and Ford.I will bring it up to dealership again about my cover. My truck has been there for two weeks now waiting on a gas tank because of the recall another Ford mess up! I understand there will be problems but no excuse for not dealing with the problems. They should take care of the bed covers and have the tanks in stock on a recall so we are not waiting long to get the truck back

Your story is just like mine. I emailed the company and they said you must go to a Ford dealer for service. They acted like they could care less.

In the next few days, I will have my son hose the cover, and I will add additional moulding where the water comes in.

This makes me concerned as I want to get the Bak X4S. Which I think the same company makes it for Ford.

From what I heard the cover is made by Bak. my cover is about 1/8 short across the tail gate I do get some water in.I did get my cover when they first came out I had my truck back to the dealership twice to fix the cover. It is tge best they could do.I hope they are better made now. Probably got the measurements from Ford for when they starting making them and Ford mess up

Ya I am not sure how they are different from X4S. They almost look like the X2 tho, one made for Ford. Your not the only one I have heard this from. Heard this from a couple others too

I have the hard roll tonneau cover by Ford installed by a local dealership. I had the truck back there 2 times now because I don't think the cover was installed right.I have 5/16 on one side at the top and 1/8 on the other side.Going across the tail gate I have a 1/8 gap.Does anyone else have this issue with hard roll cover? Otherwise the cover looks great.
Hey man, I was wondering if you had a minute, can you tell me if you are having this issue with your rollup cover? It seems like each rail has a "groove" that the cover latches are supposed to fit into. But with mine, when the driver's side is "in the groove", the passenger side rides the groove. Doesn't seem to be fitting correctly. Have you seen this with yours, or do both of your sides fit into the groove?

Thanks so much!
