Does anyone know what the hybrid maverick top speed is? I’ve seen 105mph for the EB but nothing for the Hybrid

edit: 110mph seems to be the top speed for a maverick hybrid

thank you all for unearthing this info

That’s actually pretty impressive. weird not seeing shifting points though
Welcome to cvt world.

if you want to see some impressive shifts. Check out a pdk or the vw dsg dual clutch

I wish vw would bring the rabbit back. Slap in the drivetrain from the vw tdi era(2.0 common rail turbo with insane torque)

it would be a no brained mini-truck that could dominate the market.

some idiot had To try to cheat the epa.

Did the driver let off the gas?
Or did the computer do it for him?
I guess I’m getting old, but I’ve never driven a vehicle that had a governor on it, except in the military.
Every vehicle that I’ve tried to top out was only limited by the ability of it’s horsepower to overcome wind resistance.
And 110mph is awfully slow for a top end. Even my 4cylinder
‘92 Toyota pickup would do more than 110.

Not a diesel. But those crisp shifts.

the cvT is still good for those that can stand it. It keeps you in the power band as annoying as some may find it

My dad had a 91 5 spd Toyota. If it’s the 22r engine… That truck felt like it was being asked the world to go 60.

guessing you had some other engine.

MPH, for sure!
22RE . The “E” is important. Fuel injected.
Still have it. Bought it new 30 years ago this month. Odometer cable broke at 185k miles, 3 years ago. Top end of the engine was rebuilt about 50k miles ago, after the plastic timing belt guide broke. It then drove like a new car again. My Lariat hybrid is replacing it, only because the frame is Swiss cheese. The Bride won’t ride in it anymore. I won’t put any weight in the back, necessitating a new truck. Every time I get out of it I check the gap between the cab and the bed. So far, so good, but the insurance expires in April, and won’t be renewed.
Soooo much respect for that engine!

That's where the governor kicked in

So, when the governor kicks in, it doesn’t just stop you from going faster……it actually seriously slows you down. Do I have that right? At what speed can you resume?

My 2012 Prius topped out at 118mph and while there’s definitely less wind resistance with the Prius there’s a heck of a lot more power here the Prius I believe has 134hp and 105pound-feet of Torque. I don’t doubt that this truck is capable of even if the programming isn’t letting it achieve it

My apologies, I misunderstood when you were talking about. There at the end, that was him winding her down, I think. Everything I heard the Mav will just ride that governor for as long as you floor it.

The governor caps you out, at which point the youtuber let off because riding max speed wasn't the point of the video. You can see that the power dropped to 50% (Thats the engine ceasing to accelerate and transitioning to a cruise gearing), and then a couple seconds later the driver lets go.
