It’s amazing at the number of idiots on this forum blaming Ford for parts shortages that are out of their control. Go buy a f’n cyber truck.
Good job Marty. Maybe people are pissed that Ford took orders for trucks it can't build? Or that they aren't being honest about what is going on? Or that they aren't really communicating with customers effectively about delays? But maybe you are right and it's the fault of the people who ordered trucks...

My dealer has Bronco orders over a year old. Probably hard top issues but still I’m only 8 months so I am truly grateful

I am besides myself fed up with this. The vehicle ordered on 6/26, was built on 12/10, and yet it will sit for at least 4 months. I need an explanation. @fordvideoguy

Chips, it’s the only reason. Your truck is sitting in a lot awaiting chips. Since we know the build projection for hybrids is increasing March / April, I’m guessing that chips are scheduled for delivery at that time. We know things don’t happen quickly so reasonable to think more like April/may.

My glass still half full and confident my truck will arrive someday?

what it says to me is that Ford was not prepared for what market conditions were and came to market too soon. They are totally to blame if they didn’t have full rein of their supply chain.

…and… if @fordvideoguy is right and it’s a data entry issue from IT or the ramp manager of whomever, that’s just total incompetence. I’d be fired from my job if I made that kind of error.

I don't think anyone is blaming Ford for a shortage of parts, that's you projecting maybe? They are mostly just frustrated with the situation in general. And those that are blaming Ford are most likely blaming them for not being up front on estimated delivery dates when orders were initially being placed. This over year long wait has happened to many bronco buyers so it's not like they couldn't have foreseen this. When I placed my order I was told September or October of 2021 is when it will be delivered. It's pretty clear they knew that was not at all feasible and just shows that Ford was being slightly disingenuous with their potential customers.

I do not believe this comment about delivery delays is idiotic at all. It is called frustration which you may not have experienced yet. If you believe Ford has part shortages you just may be the one being fooled. Ford now has a new business model. Order a vehicle and wait for it to be built or purchase off the Lot and pay a premium. Ford now knows exactly how many vehicles it needs to build and if you do not wait for it it will be sold by the dealer. No more overstocked Lots that have to offer discounts to move them. Ford Stock is up tremendously and expect other car makers to follow. Next year and every year after it will be a different part shortage to keep this new business model afloat. By way not nice calling others idiots because you disagree with them.

I don't blame Ford for the chip shortage. I blame Ford for bringing a vehicle to market during a time when everyone was aware of production and shipping issues. Then poor management by stating production will continue, leading us to believe they had resolved supply issues, only to have delivery dates pushed back time and time again. Now this has gone on so many times with the latest news of delivery dates of May or June. When does Ford make good on deliveries for their customers?

Supposedly tons of trucks scheduled for delivery soon have been pushed back 2-3 months with, of course, no explanation. Probably the chip shortage?
Is Ford building Mavericks without chips, then storing them like they've done with other models?

Call me ill-informed, but I knew nothing of vehicle problems until I was looking to replace my leased vehicle and I saw this thing called a Maverick and placed an order. I'm not a car fanatic. Now I know and sure I am frustrated, just like I was in March 2020 when I went to the store to buy stuff and was told that only 15 people at a time were allowed inside. I said, F this and went home. 2 weeks later I was standing inline to be let inside the store to shop for toilet paper. Right now I'm trying to buy some frikken distilled water. Its nearly 2 years now since things were shuttered. But I still can't buy any distilled water. And in case you ask, no I can't used non-distilled water.

I, just like everyone here is in the same boat. We all have a choice. Wait or say F this, buy/lease another vehicle.

I also heard that a batch they got in December were defective. But yes there are trucks built just like mine sitting in the Mexican desert awaiting a fresh supply of chips.

Interesting if true. It would explain a lot.

But... where did you hear that?

I thought I heard that the price increases that came long were directly related to that bad batch of chips, as well? That Ford had to pay more for chips that were better, and passed the cost along to avoid another SNAFU. But I can't remember where I read/heard it or if that was a reliable source.

The longer the wait goes on, the more the forum fills up with thread after thread complaining about delays, the harder it is to find valuable, factual info.
