OP, I'm SO sorry. Here's a new $100k TRX that was backed off of the transporter w/o properly adjusting the top ramp after his 5-month wait. Crushed the roof and sunroof........ I hope your dealer can somehow make this right for you.... Unfortunately this happens.......

You have the vin, I would call the dealer and ask him to just confirm the damage as your going to let Carfax know.

They don’t return trucks they get fix, demand pictures and ones that shows your vin#
This. I worked for a large multi brand dealer network in college and we NEVER returned vehicles damaged in transport, they were always documented and fixed by the transport company's insurance. Sounds kind of shady to me.

I had a green 2001 Saturn L300 delivered to my dealer and when I went to pick it up I was told that one of the department managers had taken it as a dealer car. So they found me another car and had it transported 125 miles to my town and it got wrecked on the trip. Finally, had a silver L300 delivered and it was fine. Very frustrating.

Is it something that can be repaired for you versus getting a completely new vehicle built? Surely there has to be a body shop that can take care of the repair even if it means someone OTHER THAN YOU has to pay out of pocket for it.
I was told the roof was so badly damaged that they couldn’t even repair it which is the reason they refused it.

Thanks! I actually live in FL and had taken a trip to NC. I cut it short in order to get my new truck😕 with any luck I will find another Mav before I head up there again🤞🏻

@GreenLady, you're going to need to demand pictures.

-If the truck was in fact damaged and returned to Ford, they have to have pictures.

-If they don't give you pictures, you will need to call Ford Customer Service and have them verify the vehicle was returned.

-If the truck was not returned to Ford, you will need to report the dealer to Ford.

If the dealer agreed to take your deposit with the intention of selling you the vehicle, then sold it to someone else, they misled you and open themselves to a lawsuit and problems with Ford.
All good points, thank you! No pictures, Ford company on this forum replied that I should contact the dealership manager who doesn’t return my calls, still trying to find the status of the truck and worst of all, I tried to put a deposit on the truck for two weeks and the salesman kept saying he would call me back for the information. They reserved it in my name with my drivers license. I seriously doubt I have any recourse only reviews of the dealership.

I would keep a close eye on the VIN on that returned Maverick. I wouldn’t be surprised if it wound up titled and registered in someone else’s name.. sorry I just have a distrust for most dealers.
That’s about where I’m getting, no trust with this dealership☹

Random Question.. Has anyone checked their website?
I checked and it is not on there. I believe it’s an automatic listing of all Mavericks whether they are reserved or not since I was told they were all reserved.

Yes, call Ford customer support....the wheel that squeaks the loudest will get the oil! It's true!
And I have been known to be a squeaky wheel LOL, hence my multiple threads to get someone’s attention. I don’t want somebody else to suffer this experience after a long wait.
