When I decided to order mine I only told my wife about it. We had already decided I was going to order one but I told her "Thursday is the cut off day for the Ecoboost so I better get over there, hybrids were cut off last month so that's not an option right now". So I went on the 25th of Jan and ordered. Sent my wife a text and said "ordered but 6-8 months out at best".

Never mentioned it to my kids.

Then my 20 year old college student daughter sent a text a few days later:

"Mom said you got a new truck!".

"Yep"

"Wow, send a pic!"

"Wow, that looks great! How come I didn't see it when I got home last night?"

"Because it's being built and will take 6-8 months".

"Oh... So I guess you didn't get a new truck?"
