using the parts for the higher margin vehicles (eb vs hybrid) perhaps?Still doesn't explain why ecoboost with all the extras (lux, 360, etc) are getting scheduled and hybrid not. There is more to this story even Tim doesnt know yet.

Thanks for all the information supplied. It is really helpful as I wasn't able to see the broadcast tonight.Just heard @fordvideoguy (Tim Bartz) says that there is some truth about the Hybrid, Co-Pilot 360 and Luxury Package/SIBL delays in his Tuesday Evening webcast. Click on the link and take a listen, he busted a lot of myths.
It's not that everyone who has these items in their order are moved to MY '23. Or that they definitely will not get built this year. Or production of these have stopped for the remainder of the model year. That is inaccurate.
But what is accurate is that they are now forecasting that now that the order books are closed and they know exactly how many units they have left to build in the '22 Model Year, they now are forecasting they will not have enough parts/components/microships for all the Co-Pilot 360 ordered units, the Luxury Package units and Spray-in Bedliners for every single person who ordered (and possibly Hybrids as a result). But they have enough for most. But many of them may get pushed further out in this year's production as they will be building less of them along the way due to the constraints.
Production of Co-Pilot 360, Hybrids, Luxury Packages and Spray-In Bedliners continue. The production is still happening. But not everyone is going to get them, though. There will be some late purchasers who may end up having to drop these to stay in the '22 Model Year. He went through all the Long McArthur orders scheduled, showing that there are still Hybrid and Luxury Packages are still occurring. Production is not stopped. But the constraints are real. He said especially ones with more semi conductor chips (Luxury Package components, like heated steering/seats/tech items, etc.). Ford confirmed to him that they are experiencing Maverick chip shortages.
Dealers are probably calling to encourage some of their buyers to drop these items so their customers can get their units this year. And they make their money this year too.And this is probably why we are seeing chatter among members related to dealer calls.
And if some people drop these who do not really want them or were on the fence about them, or not really caring about these items, they will likely build sooner and they may end up having enough for all those who ordered.
Another interesting note is that Tim says you can modify orders, even though the order window is closed. BUT, you shouldn't change Trim levels because it will modify your order date and could put you at the back of the line. You also can't change to Hybrid, of course. You also cannot change if your order is locked by the Region (Priority Code 2) or if you have been scheduled.
WHAT WOULD WE ALL DO WITHOUT TIM?
Thanks for all the information supplied. It is really helpful as I wasn't able to see the broadcast tonight.
I have deleted the cp 360 off of both units ordered for myself and my son to hopefully improve our chances on getting scheduled. Hopefully we will get scheduled soon but not expecting anything. Will be surprised if we get scheduled before summer as we ordered 12/29 and 1/17. My hat is off to everyone that has been having to go through this process since June of 2021.Thanks for all the information supplied. Yep, no one knows with absolute certainty. I grant you that. But Tim Bartz did say he was told from the Maverick brand manager that they are experiencing significant chip shortages that are affecting Maverick production. Specifically the Lux Packages. Among other constraints listed too. He may have been lied to, but I doubt it.No one knows for sure, but I’m sceptical it’s anything more than SIBL, various bed accessories, and just sheer order volume.
I wouldn't if I really wanted those items. I can tell you I love my Lux and CP360 items. Granted, mine is Lariat.Thank you for the info! I have lux and 360 but am not planning on changing that out......yet![]()
I agree. First time I ever “Built” a vehicle and didn’t buy right off the lot. I selected things I wanted for this reason or that. Just begs the question at what point is it best to just order a new MY23. (Throwing out random dates) but if delivery isn’t projected until august, does it make sense to let the dealer keep my 22 order and let them sell it to get a model year newer a couple months later (HOPEFULLY).I wouldn't if I really wanted those items. I can tell you I love my Lux and CP360 items. Granted, mine is Lariat.
It's been a constraint the whole model year so far. I have not seen anything concrete as to why. Lots of speculation. Heck, I have a lot of speculative posts about it. Pointless really. But the constraint has continued, if not even getting worse.Maybe Im missing something, but why would a SIBL cause such a delay? Yes, I understand the vehicle may have to travel to a different shop, but why would that cause more than a few days, at most, delay?

What?Tim doesn't know everything.

The problem with the SIBL is the chemicals needed to make the liner and they are in short supply everywhere not just with Ford. So if your Maverick order has it then Ford won't schedule the build unless they have supplies on hand (or scheduled to arrive during the building process) Even though SIBL is done at a different location, not have the material will delay your build from getting started. Which as Naranjita has stated has been a constraint almost since the first Mavericks were made!Maybe Im missing something, but why would a SIBL cause such a delay? Yes, I understand the vehicle may have to travel to a different shop, but why would that cause more than a few days, at most, delay?
