I assume that the info that you get on the tracking site and that the dealer gets in "vehicle visibility" is the same. The dealer should know where it is. But we really don't get any reliable info as to when the ETA actually is.
Had the same thing happen to me. Ordered 7/1, built 10/6, shipped 10/19. Then nothing, dealer visibility report just showed in transit, but gave no specifics. Then on 12/22 it showed up at the dealer with the gas tank recall hold. That recall hold is still in place to this day with no ETA on the replacement parts.
Wow, it takes 2 months for delivery? Guess I shouldnt have my hopes up. my eta changed at least 3 times, from 12/30 now to 1/31. I guess realistically, it will be mid feb
I believe that my truck was being held because it had the spray in bed liner and they were investigating the gas tank issue. However, others that didn’t have the spray in bed liner got theirs within 2 or 3 weeks of shipping. The wait for mine was very frustrating because the dealer knew nothing and couldn’t find out anything either. But now we know!
Your truck was held first for the EPA /release to buy announcement at the end of November. It couldn’t have be shipped before that, even if it was marked shipped. It actually only took 3 weeks from when they could have started shipping hybrids to get delivere to you. If my truck showed up and it had the fuel tank recall I would have died.

No, mine was an Ecoboost that only applied to Hybrids. I guess I should have said that. I ended up buying a Hybrid because of the situation, which I am very glad about it now. I initially ordered a Hybrid but the dealer kept pushing me to that Ecoboost because I would get it sooner so I let them change my order. Well that didn’t work out! Yep, no one is actually looking at your order, the computer system seem to automatically do this. I had times where it pushed it 3 days, up to 10 days at times. The dealer will generally know 3 to 5 days before hand that it's coming.

But, briefly, my Hybrid is just sitting in Mexico. We are still waiting for the "Built" email, but the Vehicle Visibility Report shows it has already been "produced" and been sent out for the SIBL and come back. My dealer thinks shipping is the next step, but I haven't seen "Trim Line" show up on the VVR yet, so I'm not so sure. Allegedly delivery is 2/13, but as it has not yet shipped and shipping takes 3-4 weeks, that's going to get pushed out.
Anyway, this is what the VVR looks like. It gets updated by Ford and your dealer can give you a copy of it. Mine is going to give me a copy each Monday until it arrives. We gave $1000 down back on 6/12, and here we are 7.5 months later and it's looking like March before the truck arrives.
