FL Dealers Charging More Than MSRP and Those That Aren’t

After reading some of the threads in this group I decided to call Gary Yeomans in Daytona Beach and ask them about an up charge on my truck. The salesman told me absolutely, anywhere from $2995 to $10,000 and he said every dealer was because they are in such demand. I told him not everyone was and Ford did not like them adding fees. He said Gary Yeomans doesn’t care about what the customer thinks because people will pay a premium on the same day someone else cancels!

As more Mavericks are delivered and the price of fuel increases some dealers may take advantage and add ADM.

Let‘s get this list together and maybe Ford Motor Company will take notice.

ADMs on Customer Orders:
1. Gary Yeomans Ford - Palm Bay, Daytona Beach
2. Delray Ford
3. Pompano Ford
4. Midway Ford
5. Ford of Kendall
6. Greenway Orlando
7. Bill Currey Ford - Tampa ($15K over MSRP)
8. Sarasota Ford - (inventory - $5K + several BS add-ons - up to $15K over?)

No ADMs on Customer Orders/ADMs on Inventory
1. Sawgrass Ford
2. Mullinax Ford
3. Bozard Ford - St Augustine
4. Bill Jarrett Ford - Avon Park - possibly a discount
5. Kelly Ford - Melbourne - Andre Mannian
6. Brandon Ford - no ADM on orders, $2500 ADM on inventory
7. Peacock Ford - Maitland - no ADM on orders, $4000 ADM on inventory

Delray Ford and Pompano Ford were lousy to try and work with, had additional charges and up charges. Delray even had a $1,000 fee for someone to pay cash. How they sell cars with this no idea but not good.

On the good side - we chose Sawgrass Ford because they were great to work with and no additional charges - very simple, very straightforward. Sales rep has called us with updates, put in the order correctly, etc. If we continue on this path and take possession with no issue they will get an A+.

I thought it would be a good idea to start a list of those dealers that don’t care about customers as much as profit and perhaps someone from Ford company will take notice. I’m starting the list with:

Thanks! I am with Bozard ford in Saint Augustine , They have been very transparent MSRP + 695.00 from day one. So I agreed and I am cool with the $695. One thing my dealer told me that "seems to be true" We will not charge anything but MSRP plus $695 " BUT for this $695 we are in Fords good graces ,we get more vehicle's ( bronco,s and Mavericks and other hard to get trucks) faster than most dealers in Florida. Our customer satisfaction level is very high and our volume is also HE SAID, Ford looks at that. So here is my experience and you can judge . I ordered on 11/3 got written confirmation from ford in 30 minutes of my order. On 11/12 my Salesperson sent me an e mail confirming my ROVP from Ford . A week later he informed me I was moved from priority 19 to priority 10. Then he communicated with me and Ford did also that I was assigned a build date week of 1/17 . On friday 1/21 I was told by Ford by e mail and my Sales guy my truck has been built and tracking it that info is correct . 3.5 months from order to build. Now I await shipping. So far so good Just want to mention the good guys too:) Also my wife has ordered a Mach E twice my sales guy has called me and texted me window stickers and pictures on 2 Mach E ,s that became available .When asked the price MSRP + $695. we declined because of color . If anyone thinks the Maverick is hot the Mach E has 20 to 30k markup at the robber dealers.

Yes - even on their website I believe. Our quote came in below the Ford.com build cost estimator because they didn’t charge a couple of their fees. Just MSRP + tax-tag-title. All in the order quote they signed - and they made it very easy. I’ll reward good honest service and tell everyone as in this case

Mullinax doesn't charge any dealer fees or additional for orders. I did see a hybrid available on their website that a customer must of not taken. They added a $1,500 addition to it. That's not unreasonable to avoid waiting another 5 or 6 months.

Does that only apply to orders or for on-the-lot stock as well? I've seen a lot that will let you order at MSRP, but any vehicle on the lot get marked up.

Doesn't look like they sell at MSRP on their website. The have one available that says MSRP of $23,900 + $2,500 in options. When you look at the Window Sticker, it is a base model of $21,400 so they are jacking up the "MSRP" price $2,500 then adding an additional $2,500 in "options" aka. ADM so they are really jacking the car price up $5,000.

Yes, Bozard is great! I have been going there for many years, before they moved further west! I have an order in for an eco-boost if I don’t find the lariat or XLT before that comes in.
