Do you have to roll the cover up all the way, or could I say roll it half way, and secure it in place? I'm thinking of the times where maybe I have something a little higher sticking up but still want to keep the front portion covered.
It either has to be fully closed at tailgate or fully rolled and strapped at the window there is no mid point

That's why I'd prefer the folding version instead.

Can you remove after rolled up if needed?

I got mine on today. Pretty much the same to install as the X2 I had on my F-150. My weatherstripping is tucked under the window too. I am happy with it. Glad I waited. At least I didn’t have to brave the cold to put it on. It was 70 and sunny here in Florida.

How does cover seal on the tail gate? I have the Ford hard roll cover and I have 1/8 gap across the tail gate

This is the cover I want when and/or if our Maverick gets built.

It doesn't look like crossbars will work for this cover. True? I reached to BakFlip but no response so far.

It looks like you lose a couple inches of bed with this type of cover. I wonder if with the fold back you lose the same or less.

X4S doesn't have drain tubes the hard tri fold would. It probably would have been good if it did may have prevented my frozen rails.
I didn't realize the roll back didn't have drain tubes. Good to know when making a decision. Thanks.

I received my BAK MX4 by FEDEX Friday :D. I put it on this afternoon. 1st, just like my Maverick, the wait was worth it. It comes packaged extremely well, nothing damaged, nothing missing, and easy to follow directions. It fits very well ( will have to wait for moisture ). Easy to install, tailgate goes up and down without opening tonneau cover.
I would also recommend Tonneau Factory Outlet. $889 delivered (free shipping) and Jeff was good to communicate with. A pleasant experience. I ordered Dec. 6th but the delay was Bak making sure it was correct for the Maverick.

I had the same excellent experience with Jeff at Tonneau Factory Outlet. (Now I'm starting to wonder if they are a one man operation LOL) As I stated earlier, I installed one on my Chevy Colorado and I was impressed with the quality and ease of install. Great discount as well. Mine is still in a box because the Maverick is at the dealer to find out why the braking is acting odd. I'll post more on a more relevant thread as soon as I get more accurate information about the problem.

I have the Rev hard rollup cover that came from Ford on my truck. I washed my truck and lightly watered the cover. When I opened the cover there was a lot of water in the bed.

Several days ago I crawled under the cover and I could see sunlight in all 4 corners. The rear seal did not even touch the tailgate lift.

There seems to be a problem with this tonneau. I can take it to the dealer and the only thing they will do is add some moulding, if they even have some. They will probably keep my truck for a couple of days.

It looks like it needs a thicker seal. Also am I suppose to see white paint on the corners by the cab, or is it suppose to be covered?

PS. The one photo where the seal looks up has been seated. The top still leaks

Never ever thought I’d want a cover but I want to use this truck more often then our old suv and want to be able to carry luggage, etc… It looks fantastic on your truck. Two questions, what made you pick that “type” of cover? Also, does that type provide waterproof bed?
