Looters just robbed an ENTIRE FREIGHT TRAIN over the span of hours in Los Angeles, all streamed live on camera, and police couldn't do anything. Train robberies are apparently up 356% in Los Angeles, so if they can't stop the millions of dollars disappearing there, what can they do about the tools you left in your bed?

Wasn't one of the biggest issues with Ring doorbells when they first came out that people would steal the expensive cameras to sell on ebay?

This will be a great way for people to have a video of a guy with a mask on taking their stuff. They can then forward to the police who will say they will totally look into it.

I appreciate the idea, but this will end up being pretty worthless -- but props to Ford for finding another revenue source from suckers.

Not sure what was funnier.....a police car speeding down the road to rescue a stolen toolbox OR the guy that got scared by a speaker and decided to take absolutely nothing

Our Locked and capped work truck was broken into again right before Christmas. They smashed the driver's side back window. Alarm went off, but they stuck around. We have it on camera. Police told us that there was nothing they could do and that the person would be out of jail before the ink dried on the paperwork. They just filed the report for insurance.

Needless the Dodge has an upgraded alarm with deafening sirens and phone notification now.

I want this for events. I also want one for my Jeep. People seem to think that it's fair game to climb in/on/lean against because it's a Jurassic Park vehicle and Universal won't mind.

You literally can't win when thieves are allowed to run rampant. IIRC union pacific is considering discontinuing freight service into LA county because they can't secure the trains.
