Love my maverick but hate the turn signal noise.
Wife mentioned she also hates the sound.

I can't stand the door open dinging sound that Ford uses. I don't currently drive a Ford, but my dad has an F-250 and it's just something that I really don't like. I may not be able to change it, but I'm going to make a go of it when I get my Maverick.Love my maverick but hate the turn signal noise.

I believe it is the same speaker for both noises.I can't stand the door open dinging sound that Ford uses. Good, two birds with one stone then.I believe it is the same speaker for both noises.
I just donāt recommend removing the speaker. Any dashboard sounds come from it. I would think it is a safety hazard to remove.Good, two birds with one stone then.
This. Too bad they don't allow some customization- it "could" be fairly simple to allow user to put vehicle into park and modify sound settings. If you could find the chime in the programming, it is possible that a sound file could be uploaded and replace existing. The loopholes connected to all that could be a big can of worms or as simple as replacing a directory or file.
Oh yeah, I wouldn't remove it. I'd probably do something like I do with my daughter's egregiously loud toys - put a piece of tape over the output. It is still functional, but serves to dampen the sound some.I just donāt recommend removing the speaker. Any dashboard sounds come from it. I would think it is a safety hazard to remove.
If you want to dig into the world of EEPROM programming and hope that you don't brick your cluster, sure. But it's one of those intrinsic things that's not meant to be configurable. If you could find the chime in the programming, it is possible that a sound file could be uploaded and replace existing. My spouse can't hear the turn signal in my Prius, and he becomes that guy driving across town with the turn signal flashing. I'm excited by the prospect of a Maverick where he can hear it, and IT IS ANNOYING. Can't wait!At 73 and a Vet, my hearing is not all that good. I like the turn signal because I can here it. I can't hear it in our 2016 Prius but when my wife is riding, she is my "you left your turn signals on again" person.
The door chimes I just ignore. Not worth dorking with.
