I hated it in my F150! I don’t believe you can change the noise as I did a lot of research. I ended up taking my instrument cluster out and muffling the speaker. šŸ˜… made it much more tolerable was about an hour job and not hard at all. I don’t know how hard it is on the Maverick

I can't stand the door open dinging sound that Ford uses. I don't currently drive a Ford, but my dad has an F-250 and it's just something that I really don't like. I may not be able to change it, but I'm going to make a go of it when I get my Maverick.

I believe it is the same speaker for both noises.

At 73 and a Vet, my hearing is not all that good. I like the turn signal because I can here it. I can't hear it in our 2016 Prius but when my wife is riding, she is my "you left your turn signals on again" person.

The door chimes I just ignore. Not worth dorking with.

Good, two birds with one stone then.
I just don’t recommend removing the speaker. Any dashboard sounds come from it. I would think it is a safety hazard to remove.

Just pretend you're driving a BMW and never use it.

If you could find the chime in the programming, it is possible that a sound file could be uploaded and replace existing. The loopholes connected to all that could be a big can of worms or as simple as replacing a directory or file.
This. Too bad they don't allow some customization- it "could" be fairly simple to allow user to put vehicle into park and modify sound settings.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't remove it. I'd probably do something like I do with my daughter's egregiously loud toys - put a piece of tape over the output. It is still functional, but serves to dampen the sound some.

If you want to dig into the world of EEPROM programming and hope that you don't brick your cluster, sure. But it's one of those intrinsic things that's not meant to be configurable.

One of the 2G Fusion guys was messing around with this sort of thing to do an MKZ cluster swap and detailed all of the weird stuff he got enabled/changed with little more than an EEPROM programmer and also by having tons of industry experience.

My spouse can't hear the turn signal in my Prius, and he becomes that guy driving across town with the turn signal flashing. I'm excited by the prospect of a Maverick where he can hear it, and IT IS ANNOYING. Can't wait!

Huh, opposite for me. Used to drive a 2018 mini cooper and the turn signals were audible and slightly annoying. Driving my maverick now and I don't really notice them with music at ~10 unless there's a gap in the music, and when I do hear them much less annoying sound than what I was used to.
