Can someone measure Bakflip MX4?

Hello,

I think I want to get the Bakflip MX4 with the Elevate rail and a DIY bed rack. I want to check the clearance, to make the rack tall enough so the MX4 will fold underneath it. Can someone who owns an MX4 measure the height of the last fold when it is straight up in the air? Fold it all the way up to the cab but stop when the fold is straight up (not resting on the cab) and measure the height from the bed rail.

If it doesn’t snow in Cleveland tonight. I’ll fold mine tomorrow and get a measurement for you.

I measured bedrail to top of fold. I got 16 3/4”. See photo also.

Just letting you know.. I tried ordering a tonneau cover through BAKflip, they are on back order and I am not sure they will be available anytime soon. I like the BAKflip products, I just don't think they will be available anytime soon. I ended up canceling my order and have ordered a different product.

Oh, good to know. I ordered my Mav on 8/16, my cover the 1st week of September and it was delivered the last week of September.

I am sure there are manufacturing issues that have caused the delays. Truck Hero is the company that both sites... you should look them up.. you might be surprised how many companies are under their umbrella.

Yes, mine is a XLT, 2.0 EB, Alto Blue, Lux, moon roof, spray in bed.... I got mine the first of November. Love the truck and think Ford design is spot on.

Mine is XLT, 2.0 EB, Area51,Lux, spray in bed, 4K tow, no moon. Delivered 12/8, love it too. It gets tons of stares from F150 owners! No one has approached me yet.

The one mod I have done that I like the most is the Giva Damn switch I made. I rebuilt a cheap "impossible switch" I got off Amazon. When you turn the switch on, it turns itself off...

Just letting you know.. I tried ordering a tonneau cover through BAKflip, they are on back order and I am not sure they will be available anytime soon. I like the BAKflip products, I just don't think they will be available anytime soon. I ended up canceling my order and have ordered a different product.

Thanks for the info. I’m not ordering the cover very soon, just trying to design the rack to be tall enough that it will fit the cover when I do get it.
