The 12V connection. It times out at some point but not sure how long. I will test it one day to find out unless someone has the answer.

Although it would be nice if it didn't time out for camping... I have a lot of "ladies of the night" in my hood that might discover a free phone charging kiosk!

I caught one red-handed sitting in my passenger seat one morning (while I was looking out the window having my coffee) rummaging for change... I just shooed her out of my truck and I remember to lock it now!

Somebody else was saying you have to turn on the truck to power up the factory power plug.

I don't have to have it on but it does time out and needs to be reset by turning the key on/off.

Honestly, look up any basic tutorials on automotive wiring and switching. +to+ and -to-. Only use mechanical fasteners and not solder for automotive wiring (I don't care what they showed in the flex box tutorial videos).

The most important part of DIY is the learning! I enjoy the learning and doing more than having the end product.

What are the connectors from the fords 12v leads called? I've not seen a connector like that (at least in solar where I have dabbled).

I think they are proprietary. I only got one pigtail with my truck so I need to order another one if I want to do something on the other side.

Anyone else get 2?

The bed lighting is only on after you turn on the key, correct?

For instance if you come out of the store and want to turn on the lights in the bed to load up underneath the tonneau cover, the lights will not turn on, correct?

Or does unlocking the car turn on the accessories to the bed?
