I don’t know much about the C8 but I agree 100% that the 2023 model will carry a price increase.

It was one of my factors to order this year.

I had a buddy today find out what I am buying, he said hes going to Ford this afternoon.. I told him don't expect it before 7 months
I think that depends largely on the build. An Ecoboost with no options on any of the trim levels could very well get a December or January build date.

Oh as do i......but I will never argue with a truck that immediately appreciates in value....I also think all of us with orders are smart and beat that to the punch.
I took delivery of a Tesla Model 3 in August and they announced a $2000 price increase today. Supply chain issues will drive up prices for everyone. Locking in a deal is smart economics.

I ordered a Maverick on a whim. Since I have no idea when my Bronco will get here. I’ll drive the maverick until the bronco is ready. Hopefully get what I paid back for the Maverick. But I have to sell what I’m driving now to take advantage of the used car market. Getting a huge chunk for my current car. Which is all going towards Bronco down payment.

When the C8 Corvette came out, it was on the cheap side for a vette. Chevy seeing its popularity increased the MSRP the very next year. I have a weird feeling that the maverick will to. Especially with the Hybrid AWD confirmed for production now.
All cars will have an increase nextyear. Raw materials are becoming very expensive. Scrap iron was $0.02/lb about a year ago now it is $0.13/lb. Copper has doubled as have other higher grade metals. foam and rubber have seen major increases. Interest rates will also rise. The Federal Reserve said they may raise it 3 times in 2022.

Ford may raise prices but the market will demand it.

No that's only to twist the knot in the people that have been waiting!
So just tell the truth.... You just set him up so that when he comes back and says "I bought one" you can say "What... Only one?"😇

given the market condition it is right now, everything will increase bigly unless the Fed gets off its rocker and start raising rates pronto.

I don't see big price increase. We are at the tipping point where commodities and price higher than what people are making. I believe the truck is already over priced by a few thousand dollars. Once the people with money gets their trucks, ford will have to go after their target audience and how currently priced that might be a stretch for their target.

What? 39,000 orders in the first week and that was not their target market? Hybrid orders for 2022 is closed. They are also already offering financing in-house to capture that market. Raw materials are going up across the board and this is a business designed to make a profit, not a government give-away program. They have already captured their market and a few others in the net.

in economics what happens if supply is greater than the demand? They can choose not to raise prices on this vehicle to bring more people into the Ford vehicle family(something like a loss leader), but they will not be taking a true loss on the sale. The demand in this niche will only increase. That is why the CEO sees the Maverick as becoming a brand within FOMOCO.

Its the cheapest truck and is also the cheapest hybrid. Its one of the cheapest vehicles you can buy in the US and is about the same price as most 10 year old used trucks with 100k+ miles. I think the only reason its priced so cheap right now is for CAFE standards since the ford fusion is no longer in production.

Price will go up for the 2023 model year. I am guessing $22,995
