Also have an order with chalmers in rio rancho, but I placed mine at the beginning of this month. Have only seen 1 velocity blue xlt around town and that was in Albuquerque at the Jersey Mike’s off of coors. Chalmers told me it would probably be about 6-8 months before i see mine which would put it around late summer of next year, like I’ve said before on this forum though, not in a hurry and just see it as a bonus to save up even more of a down payment. That's exciting! I'm also a Rio Rancho and Chambers Ford guy. I however was slow to order, October 9th. I'm looking at March-April before I see my new baby. When your vehicle gets in you'll have to let me know how the closing goes. I don't expect any surprises but I have heard some interesting stories from this forum about what some of the dealerships are doing. Chambers Ford has a good reputation so I wouldn't expect any surprises. I have been reading up on extended warranties from this forum and found some information I like. Dealerships like to sell the extended warrantees to make some extra $ on closing. I am one that wants an extended warrantee but don't want to pay what a lot of dealers are trying to sell them for. I went and checked out "Flood Ford" from Rhode Island and they sell "Ford" extended warrantees at discounted pricing. Someone on this forum suggested being prepared ahead of time with pricing in hand when going into signing the paperwork. When the extended warrantee is presented, you have an online price ready and if the dealership can match the price, then go for it. If not, go with the online price and save $. The warrantee is from "Ford" and the local Ford dealerships have to honor the warrantee, even though it was not purchased from them. A good dealership should match the online price. I would prefer to buy from the local dealership, keeping my business local and into the local economy. $ however speaks. A little profit is better then no profit. So congratulations on your soon to arrive new Maverick. I hope to see you driving around. I have only seen two Mavericks in the area. One in Albuquerque and the other in Rio Rancho. Yours will be number three.
Thank you! Your driving the same areas I will.1,133 miles driven 90% highway @ approximately 80mph. MPG average 37.1. Location central and SW New Mexico & SE Arizona altitudes 1000-5300. Awesome truck!
