New problem with the radio display with the CLOCK ......

I thought this was just a fluke. It has happened 3 times now, each time while sitting overnight. I have my clock set to Central time. Three times now I have come out to my Maverick to find the time has switched to Eastern time so the clock was one hour off. Today it was off one hour and three minutes. I don't know where the three minutes came from. When I started the truck up today besides being one hour and three minutes off the clock held that time for twenty minutes until I reset it. It also randomly switches from AM to PM and vice versa.

This is exactly the type of problem you DO NOT WANT.
I can imagine trying to explain this random a$$ problem to the dealer and having my truck sitting on their lot to get messed up waiting for the problem to randomly replicate .Has anyone else seen this problem on their Maverick or am I the only lucky one?

Mavericks are connected vehicles and can get time updates from cell network. If you live close to a time zone boundary it may be updating. You can avoid this by changing the settings.

I understand what you are saying, I had that issue in another vehicle and this fixed it.

However the instructions you provided above are in the owners manual and are for vehicles with Sync 3 only I believe.

I don't have the option of picking [automatic time zone update], even with 24 hr turned off.
I also don't live anyhwere near the time-zone change.

The time zone switching explanation could make sense, but the random minutes being tacked on or off is really odd. Curious to hear how this one gets resolved as if it was happening to me, I'd go nuts! (a little OCD about stuff like this)

Yup, I didn't realize that was for Sync-3 and I don't have my Mav yet to look around in the settings, sry
probably a faulty unit

The cubby is a symbolic trash bin that these lousy infotainment displays should be put in.

Can you eleaborate a little bit please. Just so I unserstand exactly what yours did. Did it change time by an hour? How many times, how often etc...?

I believe it changed itself over to EST several times, I'm in CST. Although from what was mentioned in the thread I am about an hour west of IN which does stay in the EST year round. I corrected the time and as far as I know it hasn't done it since although I haven't really bothered paying attention to it.

Move east, that should resolve it
