Forgive me if this has been discussed somewhere on MTC before, I did a brief search but I'm slightly illiterate when it comes to technology lol! Also sometimes you have to be specific to find what you're looking for. If there is a post already a link would be great. Just trying to figure out what these wires are for. Seems like a random group of wires literally just hanging there, exposed to the elements. I'm assuming something to do with rear lights and the 4k towing connections. I do want to get the aftermarket panel to install behind the driver's rear wheel to cover this gap that was left wide open by Ford. However just haven't gotten the coin together yet to grab it. At least the wiring will sit above that panel and not be so exposed to all the dirt and water from the road and rear tire. Just was looking for some insight on what the cluster or wires was. Thanks!

You are correct in your assumption that those wires are, in no particular order, your Main Harness, the taillight harness and the wiring required for your towing package.
Thank you for the reply. Much appreciated. Definitely want to get those covered up ASAP.

Agree with what has been stated. They are most definitely important!

Some of that wiring, especially the wad of connectors wrapped in tape and the module, are aftermarket. 99% a brake light logic module for the light in your topper.

Ahh yes, wasn't thinking about the topper lights. Do have the added brake light and a led light inside. Thank you.

I don't see any duct tape in those photos. I see electrical tape. The silver is thermal/heat tape.

I don't like where Ford installs the module in front of the drivers side front wheel. I am not sure if it is the computer or not. Bad place for many reasons. 1. Hit something and you do a lot of damage other than cosmetic. 2. Hard to reach hand in to change drivers corner light. 3. Exposed to the weather. I can't see how this will last very long before shorting out.

Freudian slip (coffee must not've kicked in yet); I meant electrical tape, yeah.
