One of my all time favorite vehicles was the Suzuki Samari. Long time-a-go but base model was around $23,000. I can see the attraction of a Slate if it had:
4x4 wheel drive, maybe AWD
EV
Radio & speakers
Rugged easy clean seats
Modular Roof top
Trailer hitch option
Electric windows (without that's just being too cheap, at $23k; they'll loose sales by penny pinching! Not having Electric Windows with an Electric Vehicle make little sense.)
As hard as my Dad and I tried, we could not get the Samari stuck in the mud.
It was so narrow it would go anywhere in the woods. Great hunting-fishing vehicle.
Just like the Honda Element, the Suzuki Samari has a following to this day.
At its base price it's too close to a Maverick XL Hybrid, with a lot of bells and options.
Aftermarket CarPlay's are so cheap to add - I even have one on my motorcycle.
(Slate should themselves or thru after marker sources make some basic devices available)
The Samari (renamed-Jimny) is still sold in high demand in many other countries.
They really need to post some spec's like: 0-60 mph
