The new Light Blue 2026 Maverick color is out!

I kind of like that color, there was one 'in transit' to a dealer nearby and I was tempted. But seeing a Bronco Sport in that color in person, I liked the Velocity Blue more.

Gulf liveryon it would make a cool 'throwback' look, though.

The Bronco / Bronco Sport in this color with the white rims and red and white trim looks pretty cool. Not sure how that would look on the Maverick.

In summary I agree it’s an interesting color but I’ll stick with my Atlas Blue.

This is a good example of what's so great about this color: it's disliked by people who a) are deeply concerned about choosing a shade that might somehow damage their own fragile sense of gender identity and b) can't spell "chick."

What's ironic is that the light blue shades like that are traditionally associated with the male gender, starting right in the hospital delivery ward. But even the traditional "blue for boys, pink for girls" is just a made-up social construct with no basis in anything.

I think the color on the Maverick is really hard to render/capture online, like a lot of non-metallic shades. The Porsche PTS program has a ton of colors like that, and they almost always look better in person. I'm prepared to give Ford the benefit of the doubt until I see one on the road.

Is your order light blue??? Light colors often get splashes of black like the picture shows. Looks pretty good.
There was a thread a few months ago where the poster had a desert sand and was going to decal/wrap the classic baby blue for the retro look… not sure if it happened.

Interestingly, it's a social construct that completely flipped fairly recently. I'd have to look it up to get the timeline just right, but iirc, as recently as ~100 years ago, infant boys were dressed in pink, because it was seen as a more energetic, vital color and blue was viewed as passive and feminine.

Me? I just like fun colors. My car is orange. My glasses are green. My sunglasses are red. The shoes I'm wearing at the moment are pink. But hey, at least I'm wearing a black band t-shirt so everyone knows how very macho I am. Lol. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just poking around on CarGurus and came across the new color simply called Light Blue. That's according to Ford's online configurator. It reminds me of Robin's Egg Blue on the Bronco and Bronco Sport Heritage Editions. I'm not sure if I like it or not. It seems a bit loud like Orange Fury. Also, it doesn't really fit the character of the Maverick. What do you think? Anyone have one of these on order?

I've seen at least one report that it's the exact same as the Bronco and Bronco Sport Heritage "Robin's Egg Blue" but given the even less interesting name "Light Blue" to tie it to the Ford pickups of the 70s and 80s.

I've also seen at least one person claim that it is the same color code as those older pickups.

Maybe both are true? Maybe neither?

That shade of blue does nothing for the looks of the Maverick. I think the teal color Jeep has on the Renegade would look great.
