Sent in a sample 5 days ago & received results. I was “concerned” about fuel dilution . Sniffed my oil cap & it smells of gas blah blah.

But since SSM “Special Service Message” 54138 outlines this as a symptom of a potential leaky high pressure fuel pump for my VIN - I decided to send in an oil sample (see below)

Lots of numbers that will mean something to the Motor Oil Geek but not to me. Dilution seems in “OK range” with no explanation of what the range is…

But “wear metals” showed elevated, again no explanation of what the numbers mean.

Fine print explanation said “don’t worry - it is engine break-in remnants most likely. Send in another sample in 3000mi”

Typically, an oil analysis (or blood test for that matter) shows the acceptable range along with the measured level.

It's encouraging that most levels in the test above have a green check mark, but it's helpful to know the range. Maybe that was given but cropped out of the image?

Nothing useful cropped out.

You’re right - blood tests show ranges. Very helpful.

SPEEDiagnostix not so much. The Motor Oil Geek runs the company and maybe he expects customers to be more knowledgeable. Big mistake;)

I’m going to send a sample from same oil change to Blackstone for a “2nd opinion” data point. I’ll compare & contrast & post those results…

Just my 2 cents, being as how I have never sent in an oil sample, but the note at the bottom of the screen shot indicates this is a normal result during break-in period. Retest at 3,000 to 4,000 miles (per note).

Blackstone is the only lab I've used. Their data is more thorough (this happens to be for a Cessna). The universal averages are helpful:
