Reverse Light Bulbs Comparison: Stock vs. Lasfit vs. F150LEDs ARES

Brake tail lights are the issue with hyper flashing. No long term led solution found that does not hyperflash for 22-24 mavericks. I have a 23 hybrid XLT. I am looking at replacing the tail lights entirely from form lighting

I have the Fanteli brand for my 3rd brake light - happens to be the flashing version.

I've never gotten hyper flashing using that, which is my 1st LED replacement used.
Now - I did have both recalls that dealt with that issue, long before I plugged one in.

I was thinking of going for the brake lights - is hyper flashing still an issue after the recall software upgrades?

Maybe I'll stick with just the reverse lights then.

It was for me. Just the tail/brake lights. All other led from Lasfit worked for me and still going

I’ll let you in on a little secret. I have a ‘24 Lariat Hybrid.

Between the issues most owners are having with various Hyper flashing LED brake lights on these trucks and the outdated, dim OEM incandescent bulbs that most folks are complaining about, this is what I did:

Installed LED brake light bulbs on my truck’s two top rear locations only. Left the incandescent bulbs on the two rear bottom locations only. Result: Worked for me, going on 6 months now. I noticed the LED bulbs are activated a fraction of a second before the incandescent. (Barely noticeable). However, if the 4 way flashers are left on for an extended time period (as in a flat tire emergency), there is a noticeable lag in the flash pattern, between the bulb types. In addition, leaving the pair of incandescent bulbs in doesn’t change the bulb resistance load, and doesn’t trigger a wacky hyper flashing indicator.

The LED bulbs I am using are the Zonbeam brand sold on Amazon for Maverick trucks. Definitely brighter tail and brake lights than their incandescent counterparts. My objective is to be seen, and not being added to the increasing number of rear ended Mavericks.

Until Las Fit or anyone else can come up with a “fix,” I am happy with this setup. Hope this helps somebody.

Just had a handful of the Lasfits that I bought just over a year ago fail. The cargo lamps were the first to go (within warranty) and the side marker and reverse lights went next.

Still have the lasfit switchback DRLs and the third brake light, but I'm expecting that their days are numbered.

Ended up with

• Motomaster OEPlus 921 LEDs for cargo
• Motomaster OEPlus 3156 LEDs for reverse
• Sylvania Zevo 194A for front markers
• Auxito 3157-R for taillights

I still have an extra Lasfit L-T15R for the brake light (kinda telling that they send a spare), but I guess I'll be going to Diode Dynamics to get a reliable switchback running light, as it seems they ship to Canada now. I really like the white/orange split. I guess I'll just wait it out.
