Direct replacement for a Lariat, XLT will need power. I made a harness to tap power from the center overhead light. "Hollywood" LEDs found in higher trim F150s. I don't even use these mirrors lol. Looks premium compared to the incandescent Lariat lamps.

Nice, I bought a set with lights thinking they would light up plug and play but it didn't. Im interested in how you made them work? Like how does the harness connects?
I had previously made a power take-off wire harness for an auto dimming rear view mirror. There are directions on this site with connector and pin part numbers but I can't seem to find it again. Alternatively, you can buy one on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/4359311039/22-25-ford-maverick-harness-to-add-usb
The take off I made tapped the Demand Lighting circuit and corresponding ground. Remove the center overhead light and install the harness in line with the existing 8 pin connector. I added a Molex Micro-Fit 2 pin connector to the take-off wires, then Y split the two wire circuit to either sun visor. The TE Connectivty connector that mates with the visor part number can be seen in my picture. With the overhead light and sun visors removed you should be able to route the wires, I think I popped the A pillar trim loose as well. I pushed the dummy connectors out of the way and dropped my connectors in their place.

Originally I had the Lariat incandescent bulb style. The incandescent lamps don't produce good light and the LED replacement lamps available are BLINDING. I had to turn mine backwards which looked ok but after I saw the true LED visors in an F-250 I really wanted them. Turns out the MACH E has the exact same visor profile as the Maverick and they all have LED mirrors and Homelink. I paid $130 shipped for the pair from eBay, they might as well be brand new. From Ford they cost $500 each or some nonsense like that. The black ones are like $800 lol.

I believe it is basically a garage door opener remote control. You need to program it to your door but no vehicle programming is needed. I don't have a garage so I am not sure on the specifics lol.

Let us know how this turned out. I am interested if this works. I assume since the lariat visor is powered already this may be plug and play?
