Trouble Answering Calls with Apple Car Play

Curious if anyone else has this issue. MY24 Ecoboost XLT. Owned for over 2 years and always use Apple Car Play. Never had touble answering phone calls through Car Play, either using screen to accept call or the steering wheel. Right after I got the recall repair for the frozen backup camera issue last year, half the time I try to answer an incoming call through Car Play, I can hear the caller but they can't hear me. I took it to dealer and they couldn't replicate the problem, of course. Only thing that complicates this is I also got a new iPhone at the same time I got the recall repair. So was it from the repair or is it my new phone? I went from an iPhone XR to an iPhone 16.

I've had an issue with the first call received. If I hang up and redial, the second call goes through.

I have that same issue. 22 XLT. Second call always works, first call seldom works.

oh, you don't need CarPlay to have that problem with an iPhone, especially on the first call of the day!

I've had that happen to me several times. (22 Lariat) Had to hang up and call back . . . sometimes that worked and other times I had to disconnect from CarPlay. Have no idea what causes it. Fingers crossed, but hasn't happened since purchasing an iPhone 16.
