No audio - speakers just hum

Has happened a couple of times now, second time was this morning. I turned on the radio and there is no audio to the speakers. I only get a hum; the hum does get louder if I turn up the volume knob, or quiet if I turn it down to zero. Same result whether it is the Ford Audio FM radio or Apple Music through CarPlay. I tried stopping and turning off the car a couple of times. but symptom persisted after restarting the car. Weird thing is that my Google Maps navigation voice talked to me just fine.
Got where I was going, ate my meal, and then everything was working normally when I started the car up an hour or so later.
Is this a known issue, with a known solution? I have not done a Master Reset or whatever it is called in the settings.

Weird audio glitches are common on the 22-24 non-Lariats, yes. See the "similar threads" below.

They seem to be temporary, usually. The reset is pretty easy and will force a reboot if you just have to have sound right that minute.

I've had the same issue twice in the past week, except with Android Auto instead of Car Play. Like you, the problem goes away after an hour or so. (This makes me hesitant to take it in for service, because I think it will be impossible to re-create the issue.)
