Hey all! I drive quite a bit between work and my day to day life, so I figured I would give a brief recap of my journey to 30k in just 15 months.

I drive a 2024 Ford Maverick Lariat Hybrid. I ain't gonna say how much I paid for it at the time because I'm ashamed, but I do love this thing so take that how you will. Haha

I'm sure the first question everyone wants answered is...any issues? And so far, I have had none. Maintenance every 9-10k at a center I really trust to do a thorough job. Everything I've done was the basic recommended for roughly 10k, 20k, and now 30k. So far everything is looking solid. I do have a powertrain warranty for 10 years/100k (Guess which one I am gonna hit quicker).

I think my favorite thing about this car is modifications, so I figured I would list a couple:
  1. USB ports/12 volts in truck bed (A fun and cheap addition for summer nights when you sit in the bed and need extra juice)
  2. Sync4 8" upgrade (A quick and sort of affordable addition if you want wireless CarPlay, a sightly higher resolution, or have some Sync3 bugs)
  3. 18x8 Axis Sport AX2 BRONZE wheels (I like the look! A bit overplayed, but I like what I like I guess)
  4. CrossClimte 2 235/65R18 tires (Slightly bigger than stock, but a much better feel and some snow support. Great stopping power in rain)
I think that's it for true upgrades. Plenty of accessories along the way. Most of which I got from this forum! Lots of great unique stuff all over Etsy and Amazon, but also great alternatives to Fords pricey options.

All in all I'm really happy with this vehicle. I've had quite a few cars from Corollas to Camrys to some much older Mustangs and overall I just love this truck the most. Compact, useful, and fun to tinker with. I'm really hoping that with the continued care and proper maintenance I can hit 150k before she's all done. I think, when that time comes, a new Mav might be the first thing I take a look at.

Feel free to ask any questions!

How do you like the tire rack?
Just a folding bike rack! Blocks the rear view camera which makes that annoying beeping sound, so kind of a pain. Will probably switch to a tailgate cover when the rainy season is done.

Mostly being jokey in the post. I paid a bit more than I should but still pretty far off from a Tremor. Prices in my area were tough at the time. Need to have a bit more patience when buying again!

Nice! Yeah, for work alone I drive a little over 250 miles a week. I live a bit farther from my relatives as well so driving back and forth to see them, it adds up quick.

I did think about the tailgate bike pad, but I got an OEM Ford Hard Trifold Bed Cover
Open the tailgate with the bike rack installed it's a PITA

What type of mileage overall are you getting? how many miles per tank?

My one-up-rack, (I mountain bike alot), I made some notches to lower it past the "ride" level and it cleared the tail gate on my first maverick if I remember correctly and it clears the tailgate on my current Rivian, still makes the annoying back up warning....

Thank you for that tip! I’m gonna look into that. My biggest annoyance is definitely not being able to open the tailgate.

MPG for my use case which is mostly back roads and town streets is around 40-45. I’ve gotten as high as ~57 if I remember correctly. Super happy with it. The Hybrid suits my use case and driving frequency better than the EcoBoost.

Great post. When I bought mine -- same year and model -- I was headed for the XLT, because every review said that model offered the best "value." I took my daughter to sit in one, then we sat in a Lariat. She was 24; I was 63. She said, "Dad: You don't have many cars left. You need the stuff in this one (Lariat). Get it." So I did. She was right. A few thousand $$ more, but I bought the 2024 in March 2025 and got three $500 discounts (two dealers involved; one from Ford), so it almost offset.

I'm 21 months in with 35500 on the odometer. It's time to stop procrastinating and make a decision on that extended warranty! LOL

Love the black and gold, one last mad is needed, the screaming chicken hood decal!

The above would be awesome on the tailgate, opposite of the Hybrid badge!

Lol. I got my '24 Maverick Lariet Hybrid Oct 24, so I've had it 16 months. 42272 miles....I just go..great gas mileage, no issues, getting ready to get new tires & thinking of having wheels painted black. I have the Hot Chili color. There are things I miss from my last vehicle- like heads up display, cameras in side mirrors & front camera and ac seats..but I love a truck!
