That's where the rock guard covers come in. Protecting the lens without having to pull off the cover every time you need the light. No hate here, if you need the light it looks good. I would offer that using clear hard covers is the way to go as you will never pull the covers off, so you'll never use the lights.
Thanks. I did have to take of the front. Here is a picture.Nicely done! I like the look of the old school round fogs and it looks like you didn't need to take off the front end to install them. That begs the question of how are they attached. Lots of photos, please. I'm assuming the fogs are LED. (I haven't checked your Amazon link as I write this .... too excited to leave the forum. Nice job on installing the on/off switch. Great alternative to swapping out for the F-150 module and forscanning the modification.
Thanks for posting!
Got the brackets on eBay.I like the Tremor grill! I think the round fogs are a great contrast to the Maverick's lines... Do you have a link to the switch you used?
How did you attach the lights to the front? Can we get a close up?
Nice work!
Ok. The link you posted is for the switch which I thank you for. Did you go with the 16mm or 19mm size?
I got the 16mm. I don't see the brackets but here's a link.Ok. The link you posted is for the switch which I thank you for. Did you go with the 16mm or 19mm size?
If you have a link to the eBay brackets, I'd appreciate it.
This is a much more affordable fog light add-on than the Diode Dynamics kit. Not to take anything away from the DD build. I think they have done a remarkable job adapting the Maverick to accept fog lights, but I like the retro look of the ones you put on.
I was restless last night and ordered the fogs around 3:00 am. Got the last pair in black.
From a preliminary quick look, I think i see a way to mount them without removing the front end. I'll post my project as it unfolds. Thanks, again.
