I've been on some forums that would use your post immediately above to get you to "walk the line" and the one prior to that to reward your behavior ..

Nothing wrong with asking a question to gain knowledge or solving a problem with your vehicle. If it has been asked and addressed in prior posts, oh well, someone can answer it again.
Sure - someone can answer it again. Maybe even correctly:)

But many times there are complete threads that have tons of info. Yes, some folks like to repeat themselves & share their facts. But still, some questions should require some background searching before asking? Like….
“How often should I change my oil?”
“What is the biggest tire I can use?”
“Why is my Hybrid surging?”
“How to fix a rattle”?
Etc

hmmm, I suspect my hyperbole might have been .... uh .... missed...
Going to give you the benefit of doubt as this Tip was contributed after your posts:
The word "hyperbole" irritates me and I thought it went away, but use it if you must.🤟
“Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Maybe it would help to have a Too Frequently Asked Questions Section or something to that effect.
Great idea!

Best Mud Flap? Have all 200 answers in one combined thread?

When to change oil? All 10,000 correct answers in one thread. Maybe have two 5,000 answer threads…Hybrid & EB. Wealth of knowledge in those threads. Make AI pay a fee to access;)

Great post Chops. I don't write much on here, just read it all and I enjoyed reading this post and agree with all the responses. I fall into the Old Geezer category. This blog has helped me much over the now 1 year I have owned my Mav.

The value of cursive has always been that you can write quicker that way.
also, I believe that not lifting from the page and placing back down as often may give less ink blots, letting you dip your quill less often . . .

(One of the tragedies of retirement is I now longer use a pen often enough to keep my fountain pens filled!)

Did we all forget how to use a blotter after removing your quill from the well ?
This is exactly like the desks I had in elementary school.
Our desk's had a place for a inkwell.
It also raised up like that flat so you could eat lunch.

Some people wouldn’t drive a Ford if you paid them, so slapping a Mazda badge on it opened it up to new customers,
I seriously doubt that I would have bought my Miata had it not been for the heavy ford ownership. I was expecting Ford to by the rest at the time, but then the world went weird in 2008.

I dunno, is this forum so complicated that we need to give instructiosn to new members on how to use it?
Nearly all could be avoided if folks would follow the basic social etiquette that says when jumping into a new group/culture/whatever, take some time to learn the local culture before shooting your mouth off.

Nothing wrong with asking a question to gain knowledge or solving a problem with your vehicle.
OTOH, one of the things I learned as a college professor is that while there may be no such thing as a stupid question, there is such a thing as a question that shows you didn't think before asking!

Maybe it would help to have a Too Frequently Asked Questions Section or something to that effect.
Or, "Probably already asked a couple of times already today, for crying out loud!"

I think that there's a slot on some mavericks to hold a printout of these in easy reach , , ,

Ya, now a days.. it's...

WTF, IMHO, IYKYK, 404, TTYL, 2MORO, LOL
Wait!! Let Me get my Code Book... 🤔

ALL kidding aside...
FYI.

Last month, Jim Moylan passed away, at the age of 80. He was a long-time FORD engineer.
Back in 1986, after trying to gas-up his rental car in the pouring rain... He came upon an idea...

He sent the following memo to Corp.

A few years later....

Soon, ALL Car Manufacturer's were using... the "Moylan Arrow".

And Now You Know... The Rest of the Story. 😎

Jerry
Awwwe shit...I thought that arrow showed who was paying for the gas......

Based on total volume, that would only work if the slot were just slightly larger..
