I am an old and my computer skills are lacking. I do have a Ford private offer question. I received a private offer certificate 45 days ago. I have a 2024 Maverick ordered that is due to be built the week of December 11. One of my buddies that works at a different Ford store called me last Saturday and said they got a 2024 and the customer backed out. His sales manager worked up a deal and I told them about the private offer. He included it in the deal and I went to buy the truck yesterday and they said the offer did not include Mavericks. There were several exclusions on the certificate but a Maverick wasn't listed. Has this ever happened to anybody else? Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

Someone may correct me but I believe your Private Offer is tied to the customer and to the order number. I don't believe you can shop your Private Offer around to another dealer.

Looks like you will have to hold out for the truck you ordered to take advantage of the private offer discount. It is not transferable that I know of.

I hope you guys are right. I had a special order private offer in 2019 when Rangers went into production. The guy at that dealership found it but couldn't activate it so I got $750 off MSRP plus a free oil change.

If you have a certificate # then it should populate for the dealer once your truck arrives.

Congrats on your soon to be built Maverick. We have two of them and love them. You will find a wealth of info here. Do not apologize about being old because a ton of us here are in that condition - headed to 77 on my end. Would be interesting to see how many old folks - I mean advanced middle age folks are here and what the oldest Maverick owner is who hangs around here.

Looks like you might be in the Sherman, TX area. If so, you are only about 75 miles from me. Once your Mav gets here, maybe we can meet up somewhere since I go that way all the time.

Anyhow, your build date is issued and in a short time you will have that new Mav, so get ready.

There are different nomenclature for Ford's price offers. There are a type of private offers, often regional or specific customers/former customers, that have exclusions for most of the popular models - like Raptors, Dark Horses, Broncos, Mavericks - with an expiration date. These are to entice someone to buy a vehicle or reward someone for a purchase.

There are transitional private offers for select models that had a pending retail order that did not get built at the end of the model year and if your dealer follows procedure you will receive a check to compensate for some of the new model year cost if you order the same vehicle at the beginning of the new model year.

It sounds like yours may of been the first one. Usually they are $500 or $750 and expire in 90 days.
