You have a segment of owners out there who have tunnel vision for nothing but hp/trq numbers while ignoring safety, drivability and the rest of the important things. Unfortunately, they don't learn until something goes south really fast. Hell, even then they might not learn. There are at least one or two out there for the F150 that I'd avoid like a case of mursa.

I second this... And will write a separate review with some data logs and photos when I get a chance to upload. But, here’s been my experience so far:

I’ve been running the Adaptive X tune from Monster Tune on my 2023 Maverick 2.0L for a couple weeks now and figured I’d share some real-world notes. Coming off Cobb OTS maps, the difference is night and day—those felt locked into a static timing table and would pull hard any time I grabbed a questionable tank of 93, but Adaptive X just keeps learning. It uses the stock ECU’s knock-based octane scaling, so boost and ignition creep up or back off on their own depending on what the engine’s actually seeing; I watched it hold 22 psi steady on a half-tank that normally would’ve had me down 3-4° on the Cobb OTS. Throttle tip-in is way crisper too—part-throttle around town feels like a factory sport mode with zero lag. Monster’s tuner has been great; I sent logs after the first flash and we already smoothed Maverick-specific quirks. Add: fuel economy’s basically unchanged (improved actually) on my 70/30 commute, but the truck just pulls harder everywhere—definitely a smart tune. I hope others try it out!
I have also seen a slight increase in mpg with a good tune. But it is so hard to drive a full tank without getting deeper into the throttle. It’s smiles per gallon at that point.

Tim has worked really hard to make sure that this tune is very sorted out for the Mavericks. I know he has worked with a few other guys at the same time he has worked with me and used all of us to get things really well sorted. I think that many people who go with this tune will be very satisfied with the customer service and the results.

I want to report that I have switched back to Edge Autosport tuning. I like trying different tuners and this is no knock against Monster, but I keep going back to my Edge tunes as they get the job done, make great power, and Alan Jackson is amazing to work with.

I hope everyone is doing well with Monster. I and others provided a lot of data to finalize the tuning, so you should be good to go.

I recently decided to go with the Monster Adapt-X tune (using the @COBB Tuning Accessport) to see what all the fuss on the Focus ST/RS and Ecoboost Mustang communities has been about with this tune that uses a different way to do things based on Ford's octane learning strategy. Some of the things that people will talk about are how smooth the tune is and how it feels almost like it came from the factory without all the rough edges of other tunes you would. This will be the fourth custom tuning company that I have worked with, btw.

I ordered both the 93 octane Adapt-X tune and the E30 Adapt-X tune. We are currently on version 6 of the 93 tune are getting ready to start the E30 tune. One of the things I noticed is that during the logging and revision process, Monster has been very receptive to my questions and are very good about making sure to monitor different things each time to try to get things as precise as possible.

As for how the tune is going, it is fantastic. Very smooth. But also fantastic power whenever you give it the gas. I did have him add the Cobb Sport TCM map for the transmission because he has not developed his own transmission tuning yet, but I know that he plans to work on it.

I'll report back here once everything is complete, but right now I'm very pleased.
