I want you guys to know how great of an experience I have had with a fantastic independent tuner who many know as yamahaSHO on here (JAZ Tuning).

I first had tunes using an SCT device, but could never get the drivability and transmission how I wanted, so I tried out a Cobb tuner since they had developed some transmission specific tuning. I liked what I got there, but I knew more could be done, so I tried Edge tuning. Fine, but no real transmission improvements. Then I saw some discussion with yamahaSHO on here and how he was tuning himself and was doing some things through the Cobb that would make things like auto-start/stop stay permanent (I use Forscan myself, but he disabled in the map for me as well), and some transmission tweaks. I reached out to him and I cannot be more happy with what we have worked on.

I now have the throttle response (accel pedal progression) I wanted baked in, I have power that I did not have with any of the tunes before and much better drivability, and the transmission tuning has made all of the difference. He will work with you to get things the way you want and you will be pleased. I now have a Maverick that shifts when I want without lugging and it shifts quickly and crisply (something we have worked on). Be prepared to do some logs, but that is part of getting a very good tune.

Reach out to him if you want to try it out and you have a Cobb tuner.

I'm real happy with mine, also. I was really just looking for a tune for E30 93 octane (which I can get out of a pump very cheap locally), but Jason's transmission tune is worth it alone.

the off-the shelf cobb tune is a big improvement over factory, but significant further improvements can be made based on each person's preferences.

I'm with you guys on this. I just installed his tune this past Sunday so I'm still in the learning state but I am super happy with what the transmission is doing so far. I was getting tired of the lugging around being in 7th gear at 35mph. I'm not sure why it was like that from the factory or with the Cobb tunes but I'm sure happy now! I've got to get some more miles before I send the data logs but I look forward to the little tweaks he makes.
