flashed to adaptive x last night, had my best 0 to 60 run. What’s weird is that I am pretty much back to stock since knock octane modifier still working back to 1. Add: maverick is supposed to go 5.9 stock; and I am little behind that (might be awd vs fwd). But, I am faster than my cobb ots tune where i was at 6.01… this should improve in theory as the adaptive x tune adjusts… will keep you all posted!

Will 100 percent be better Cobb ots tunes are garbage imo.
The Cobb Rep is suggesting the AccessPort ($665).

Looks appealing.

Oh and thank you for that offer @Snox801 will message you.
I would expect Cobb to recommend the access port. That is kinda how they make money.
Just poking fun .

I spoke with a performance shop here in Indy today. They mentioned that some manufacturers get a notification through the built-in satellite / cell antenna after a tuner is put in place. Which "could" immediately void your warranty... Can anyone confirm this as it pertains to Ford?

@Snox801 so would you suggest skipping the AccessPort in favor of the Adapt-X. The shop I was speaking with is a Cobb dealer but they also work with HP Tuners.

It’s dealer specific- some dealers will work with moded cars and some won’t. There was no change in my Ford Pass app after my tune. Places like carvana and car max don’t even check ecu make and i doubt dealers do when selling.

The law is actually that the company has to prove mods caused the warranty failure. So, you should be good as that becomes hard to prove legally. But, as noted a dealer can refuse to work on a modified car even if you’re paying cash. If all u do is a tune, you’re good.

Just don’t let the tune company name your tune “Ultra_Aggressive_Revlimit_Unlock”

Me personally I would skip them all and go with Livernois. The software they use is much better. Plus they offer the same style adaptive tune that I have been running for 98k miles now.
I just prefer the fact they do a lot of work with ford performance and are the only company that invested their own money into a handheld and the software to get what they wanted out of the ecoboost.
bottom line is they are all around the same price when you get done. But for I think $650 you get the handheld and tunes with the Livernois. It’s kinda the easy button.

I don’t believe that it true cause I would have known. Everything I own gets tuned and ford has never said anything.
plus im not sure they can even do ecu tunes over the air. Two separate systems.

Is this the one you have?

Should I look at getting the Throttle Enhancer?

An FYI... The Cobb AP can adjust throttle sensitivity, eliminate auto start/stop, etc. out of the box and handle 15 tune files at once at no extra cost. The Livernois My Calibrator, while very nice, costs an extra $650 over the base price for multi-tune ability and can hold only up to 5. So, consider your usage vs. cost when considering. About every reputable tuner is pretty good anymore, except 5-Star as I have had nothing but issues with them, so do what is best for you.

This is a thread about the Monster Adapt-X which is new to the Maverick community, so I thought I would help you guys out. I also have Edge and Jaz tunes if you are interested and want to DM me. I even had an SCT tuner with Unleashed tuning for a while too.

that’s a good point about livernois - you really need to spend +1200 so. But they are good. I have a history w/ cobb on previous cars and no issues and like the simplicity personally

I currently have the Cobb tunes loaded, Edge tunes, Jaz tunes, and the Monster Adapt-X tunes. So technically multiple tunes from 4 different tuners on the one device.

Plus, Cobb sends out frequent updates and have even unlocked some extra capability for me for free.

That is not true,
$650 comes with two tunes. The Cobb only comes with the Cobb it’s then you have to buy tunes from places like monster.

You are confusing the tune on fly option Livernois has from pcm tech with the multi tune.
My handheld was $600 to my house and came with
E30 tune
87-93 two tune
And the multi octane adaptive octane tune 87-93.

I get that this is a tune about monster, but let not pretend like we can’t compare tunes. Nothing has been said about them being bad or good.
In fact it’s nice to be able to compare tunes and software. Without these threads we wouldn’t have the competition driving things like multi tunes.
