On the price, that's just a bait and switch thing, No way they are offering this for $30k, especially years from now.
Again, not a tactic exclusive to Ford Motor Company.

I might be interested. I have said for a long time that if you can get a vehicle that is exactly like my gas vehicle, with the same items on it, like heated seats and heated steering wheel, etc the luxuries, and the range is about 300 to 400 mi like I can get on a tank of gas even in the colder months, and it's priced the same, I'm all over it!

Again only 3 to 7% of the population. Definitely not running away especially comparing it to ICE vehicles
I sort of wonder if this isn't similar to what the man said who had a beautiful pair of horses to pull his surrey or wagon when only 3% of the population had bought the first automobiles:unsure:?????

I doubt it. You need to freshen up your history. At the time majority wanted a gas vehicle. Only problem they were to expensive for the average person. Thus Ford coming up with an assembly line after watching meat processing. This was Ford bringing it affordable to the consumer. Big difference between wanting vs not interested. Might want to check your facts.

Hmmm, why did I not think that you would know the facts...........................

So how do you "know" that there are not a lot of people who would like an EV with a good range for a lower cost than now exists?? Anecdotal or factual?

By the data. EVs have been around for quite some time. Also resale takes a tank shows buyers are not interested. Another eye opener for you is why the government offered tax break incentives and still the EV sales were sluggish at best compared to comparable ICE without incentives. Easy to see the writing on the wall.

Don't take this as absolute there are EV buyers just not the masses. At least for the time being.

Look at also EV that have been discontinued and companies going belly up.

Maybe a $30K EV will change both of those things. The Model T sold quite well at a low price, and it was far from luxurious.

You keep forgetting everybody wanted a vehicle back then they just couldn't afford one. Totally different, I won't say nobody but hardly anybody wants a EV. Toral different scenario.

I might buy one if they make a higher trim version with AWD, at least 300 miles of range, decently fast charging, and some creature comforts for under $50k.
All your points would get me to consider one.
Except for one.
I want the same range my 2024 Ecoboost has on a tank of gas, 450 miles. And a way to put a 200 mile charge onboard within one hour.
With the option to add more battery capacity cell by cell And optional equipment to charge in remote locations.
I’m talkin the middle of no f’ing where.

No, you don't want an EV. I don't want an EV, either, but I don't pretend other people don't and make up reasons for why no one should ever buy one. EVs have not been affordable. The original Tesla Roadster was crazy expensive. The Fisker Karma was crazy expensive. Rivian is expensive. A BMW EV costs a BMW price. If Ford offers a competent EV somewhere close to $30K, it should sell well.

We will see but they're already been inexpensive EVs especially with the tax incentive. You posted expensive but even those used are far less but GM had the volt. No the writing is on the wall.

Many would gladly buy a hybrid and not be restricted in towing, AWD, or distance. At that price range, then again I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

So who is going to fix them ? How long down time? A lot of the inconvenience that comes with them, besides the price.

As you put on the bottom of all your posts: If you think it is half empty or half full, it will be whichever you perceive!!!!

well, you forget that there were tens of thousands of gas stations across the country just waiting for cars to be invented.
