I was gonna get a third one, which would've been a '25 Lariat Hybrid AWD in Eruption Green but the numbers didn't add up. They were outrageous. Nowhere near where I wanted to be. So, I passed. This will be my last one.

You'll love the adaptive cruise. That and the lane centering feature makes it great for long trips. Worth it just for the few times I've run through construction zones where the lanes zig zag over to the other side and its barely wide enough for one 18 wheeler to fit. Try that at night, in the rain in heavy traffic and you'll never buy a new vehicle without those features.
It's just me, but I won't ever use "auto" anything for driving. I do use cruise, so that is my one exception and I turn it off in traffic and all construction zones. Airline pilots have probably the best, most expensive and capable electronic gadgets available, but very rarely land on autopilot. No one takes off with autopilot. I want to be in control even more so when in traffic congestion/construction zones. Pilots have the "sterile cockpit" rule, under circumstances such as taxi, takeoff and landing. Essentially, no talking about anything other than essential communications. We had the same type rule (Red Zone) when I was a locomotive engineer. In the boonies with my Mav, I will set the cruise and listen to my tunes! Just my opinions, of course.

Nice, your fourth Maverick is almost the same as my 25 Lariat Hybrid AWD w/sun roof. I held out and drove Fusion hybrids until the AWD Hybrid Maverick became available. My big question is, with the 26 Lariat AWD Hybrid, when would you ever choose to drive the 25 ? When you need a hands free charging pad or rain sensing wipers ? I assume you added the power sliding rear window option to your ‘26.
Glad to hear that they are still holding their value !

I got it right the first time.
My 2024 AWD Ecoboost Lariat is all I wanted.
I don’t lust after other models or packages.

Welcome to the 4th Maverick club! I've had a '22, '23, '24, and now a '25. The first two were purchased during the crazy early years of the Maverick when you could sell your Mav for more money than you paid for it. I think I'm through for awhile now, I've found the sweet spot with my '25 Lariat Hybrid AWD.

Yep, all that tech is nice, but who here 100% depends on the blind spot indication technology when changing lanes on the Interstate?

I am only a partial Luddite, so I too use Cruise, but never under the conditions you state as well as never under any adverse weather conditions as well.

Well to be fair I traditionally have kept most new vehicles 3-4 years.....

But recent years since Covid could trade year old vehicles for about what you orginally gave for them. I was surprised how close this last offer was, so went ahead and got one with the tech stuff I'd been eyeing.

Oh, I get it. First time through one of those tight construction zigzags I was a ball of nerves and pretty much coasted through with everything turned off. I realized the lane centering feature would at least keep me off the wall to my left and turned the systems on for the next series of switchbacks. Way less successful with them on.

Obviously I'm on top of the controls just in case something goes wrong but so far I haven't had to intervene. I drove a commercial truck for over twenty years so I'm watching the mirrors constantly.

Coming back from a long trip at three in the morning, some drunk failed to make a curve and came into my lane. I caught his headlights in the side mirror and had to swerve into the right lane to keep him from sideswiping me. There was no resistance in the steering wheel like there normally would be so I can't be sure that the truck didn't initiate the correction before I did. .

So trading 24 turbo awd and ordered 2026 Lariat Hybrid AWD. It should have everything I want, as none the previous mavericks had adaptive cruise.
So you didn't NEED to trade it in because the ash tray was full??? 😉
