Hard to find anyone with Maverick Hybrid install experience - still really new. I worked with eTrailer to identify the components I wanted to go with and they recommended several installers in my area. Contacted each one - none had experience with the Maverick. Selected one that seemed more customer oriented. Worked closely with him reviewing the video, etc. One thing that was helpful is determining which manufacturer you want to utilize - some installers have more experience with a particular manufacturer. Did a lot of research to learn about the systems and designs. Reviewed forum threads to learn what people liked and disliked. I ended up getting the Roadmaster Baseplate and Towbar, but the DEMCO Stay-N-Play brake system. I did overkill on the Towbar - Roadmaster Nighthawk because I liked the way cables were routed and the LED lights on it. Just completed a trip to Talladega from Colorado flat towing the Maverick - no problems at all. Still don't understand the 15 minute wait after disconnecting before interacting with the vehicle, but it wasn't a problem. I usually disconnected as soon as we pulled into the camp spot for the night, then went about setting up the RV before moving the Maverick.

The only bummer about noise for 15 minutes is that if the site isn’t a pull through the Maverick is left in the road for that whole time potentially blocking others.

I only do pull thru. But seems like most of the areas I stopped at, I could have stopped in an area and unhooked without blocking, then waited to move on to the campsite. I'm just curious why the wait - I've read some threads where people haven't waited the 15 minutes and didn't seem to have any issues.

Thanks for response.
I will be interested to hear what you find out.
Here is what Google says

The 15-minute waiting period for a 2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid after flat towing is to allow its complex computer systems to "reset," perform self-diagnostics, and for the all-wheel-drive (AWD) transmission to properly settle. This is a new requirement for the 2025 model year and is likely a software-based precaution to ensure the vehicle's systems are aligned and ready to be driven after being towed in neutral.

That aligns with my intuition and is as good of an explanation as any. Also, probably gives time for the modem to call the mothership and report your location, miles towed, max speed (you're not allowed to exceed 70 mph in tow mode) and so on.

Thanks for the response - I'm currently gathering information on installers and found that the one I scheduled for only does Blue Ox which seems most are against - the cleanest install with no cuts is supposed to be the Demco base plate but then found out that even though there is no cutting on the front body it does require cutting into the shutters - should have gotten a Jeep

where did you end up getting it all installed if you dont mind me asking

All baseplates will require cutting into the air dam (lower half). No way to anchor to the frame without removing the lower half. Haven’t experienced any problems due to their removal. Air is still getting in there. Roadmaster did their mock up on a 2025 Hybrid AWD Lariat Trim which is the worst case scenario as far as sensor interference, etc.

Looks good did you have to cut any of the original front fascia to accommodate the baseplate?

Looks pretty minimal.
BTW I was stationed at Ft Wainwright in Fairbanks from 84-86 when I was in the Army.
Still have an “adopted mom” up there that we keep in touch with and last visited in 2019.
Thanks for the response.

I have lived in Alaska since my Dad retired from the Navy in 1961.

I love Alaska. Below is a post a recent a boondock trip.

My 2018 Forest River FR3 28DS. Boondocking with a view of the Wrangel mountains on Labor Day weekend 2025.
