Went to a local Pierogi store to pick up a few things. As my wife and I were walking in, a late 60's woman was walking out with her goodie bag. I hear "OH MY GOD, WHEN DID THEY START MAKING THE MAVERICK AGAIN!" She says "That's perfect. Our F250 is too big, so I usually take the Explorer. But I love it, it's the perfect Size" I said the first year was 2022. Told her they start at $30k, and the hybrid gets 40MPG. She was ecstatic. Said she will tell her her husband That's her next vehicle. She loves driving a truck, but hates the F250 size. Win-win. I couldn't belive she didn't notice one before. It was my tailgate letters that made her notice.

Between them, the tail lights and strobing 3rd brake light, we haven't had anyone hit us yet while they admire our truck...fingers crossed that continues.

I haven't checked into it. Mine flash several times and then stay steady...so not a distracting continual flash...that would be misleading and definitely a no-no for me.

It is anecdotal, but since I put the strobe bulb in, I don't seem to get tailgated as we were before the change.

As well, it is the 3rd brake light only, not the primary brake lights.

I do keep one eye on the rearview when stopping, just in case the vehicle behind me isn't awake.

If you find out otherwise, let us all know as I would be interested in finding out!

Black may be the only good choice on HPR.

I just did a quick search online and for Manitoba and Canada in general regulations denote the size, and minimum brightness as well as that it is located where it can easily seen.

In Manitoba, all vehicles including and since MY1993 (edit to correct year) are required to have a 3rd brake light.

I concur obout theblack lettering, but the best way is get a black piece of cardboard, cut a letter out of it and set it against your tailgate...you should find that the black letters look great! But the eye test is to make sure is good and you are happy.

The Lexus dealer in Cincinnati insisted on installing a module on one of our NX's. Couldn't buy the car without it. The flashing strobe looks like there is something wrong with the third light IMHO.

One of my first mods was to emphasize what my truck was by highlighting the tailgate brand. The woman's reaction is very typical . . . people love the compactness and utility of the Maverick. By the way, did you break the news to her that the green is only available for one of the years?
