I have a 2025 Lariat 2.0 eco boost on order With 4k towing package. I plan to use it as my daily driver with some light duty towing and hauling duties. I have a couple Harleys and a KTM 390. I can get the KTM in the bed and the Haley’s on a 5x10 trailer on the very rare occasion that I may want to transport them without actually riding them. The rest of my hauling duties will be general household projects and Home Depot runs. We regret selling our pop-up camper, so there may be one of those in our future as well.
I have owned a few full size (1/2 ton and 3/4 ton) and a couple mid size trucks over the years. I can’t justify an $80k behemoth grocery getter now that I don’t have a use case for a large truck. Even when I did have a perceived need for a bigger truck, It was only doing truck-duty less than 5% of the time. The Maverick will do everything I want in a smaller and more economical package with bonus points for the fun factor.
The Maverick is already built and in transit to the dealer at the time I placed my deposit with an ETA of October 15.
