finally got everything i ordered to start my audio upgrade, have a few questions.

so i got all my parts in

puzu cz dsp
nvx nda 11005 ampnvx vsp4 4inch 2 way coax
nvx xsp65kit
and alll the sound deading and such(sub will be added later)

my question is, should i run the puzu c7 in host of acc? and if acc, where do i run the remote wire to on the maverick?i have a 2025 xlt. also where do i mount the crossovers that come with the speakers?

I went with fuse #6, but as that other thread mentions, a standard tap won't fit in that location.

For the fuse locations where there isn't room for a standard angle tap, I found these (the gold pieces in the photo):

It's a simple metal tab that slides over one of the fuse prongs that allows a spade connector to be attached. I bought these at a car show swap meet, but I think this might be it if a person wants to order some. They work great. You do need to then add a separate fuse inline on the new wire to protect whatever accessory you're powering. More pics & detail of connecting to fuse #6 can be found on page 6 of my build thread (link in my signature below).

Yeah, entirely too much exposed and energized metal for my taste. I much prefer these fabbed-up taps, although they are only sold in a pack of 10…

just an update, the nvx stuff got here,puzu got here, did a test hook up to verify function, the speakers sounded meh... and the puzu kepts messing up.. returned all that, and jot a full jl set up with a helix dsp mini mk2 build list as follows
jl c2 650 components
jl c2 400x coax
jl 10w6v3 sub
jl rd 500/1 mono amp
jl rd 400/4 4 channel
helix dsp mini mk2
sound decisons single 10 driver side box
t harness from pac(model: LPHFD31) with extension harness(model:LPHEXT17)
knu koncepts wires for power,ground,speakers etc
amp rack i custom built, it bolts directly to the b and o bracket(threaded the top holes)
kill-mat in the doors(not much for now, only on the plastic inner door)
nvm speaker baffles(fit with no trimming)
speaker adapters for front from crutchfield

FYI I learned from personal experience this week that sound mat applied to the rear cab walls and inside the interior trim panels in the back seat area absolutely makes a meaningful difference.

Yea, added first bit of kill mat to the back side of the inner door, next is sound reading the under seat tray area, and inside the rear and front doors back wall will be last, since it'll take the most and ill probably need to order more
