Starting the audio system upgrade in my 2024 Maverick

Been wanting one of these trucks for awhile and finally got one! It’s a 2024 2.0 ecoboost AWD in white. Doing the audio system and so far got the door panels finished. Just waiting for some ABS material to make the amp rack to go behind the rear seats to mount the amp and LC2i. Love this truck, my old beater car was a 2013 civic si I still have but will be gone soon. The weekend car is a foxbody mustang. That will get audio done in the spring.

Are you still using the stock dash tweeters or are you only having tweeters down on the door where they are blocked by legs?

Factory tweeters will remain and so will factory rears. The front set will see around 350 w rms per side and the sub will get around 670 w rms. I’ve been in audio a long time, use to do it for a living and even build subs, your legs blocking won’t really make much a difference, especially on a high power. My civic I fiberglassed the doors for dual 6.5’s and a set of tweeters and was no issue. In spl installs it’s common to want to put drivers higher up to make them as loud as possible. Not going for that in this setup. My civic was an spl geared install with 2 15’s I built and would do 156 db at 40 hz.
