Hi! So the 2025 ecoboost maverick uses the airbox from the 2023 1.5 escape engine. Reference 2023 escape air filter ford part number- FA2064 vs 2025 ford maverick 2.0 eco boost air filter ford part number- FA2064.

So that means aFe’s air filters for 2023 escape fit the 2025 mav eco boost!

Is the 2025 EB air box smaller than the previous year’s? Originally, Ford downgraded the 2025’s horsepower to 238 from 250. They quickly backtracked after “complaints”. Maybe the smaller air box is related to the upcoming GPF? Anyway, the new 2.0 will suck more air than the 1.5 it shares an air filter with - making it important to check your air filter more often than before?

I’d have to do some dyno research but we should be able to find air flow volumes per the MAP sensor readings between a 24 and 25 mav right?

the air box looks exactly like the one in the escape. It’s odd they changed it. Also it shows the lack of research the aftermarket parts companies are doing (or laziness of the online teams) since so many are showing air boxes for year 22+ mavs even though it’s clearly different

Tim’s (“I’m not a mechanic”) video came out much later than some from actual mechanics. I’ve watched them all and don’t recall any of them mentioning a smaller air box. Of course they all point out the location change.

But thank you for the link to Tim’s (“I’m not a mechanic”) video. I subscribe to Tim’s awesome channel and YouTube recommended it when that video first came out.

I tried the KN 2023 1.5 Escape filter and it does not fit. It's slightly wider on the short side.

The 2019 escape air filter is not a fit to the 2025 Maverick. You need to search for 2023 escape 1.5T air filters, see this ford OEM compatible list for verification.

Any experience/use?
Higher flow rate/less restrictive?

I ran a 'pod style' GreenFilter on my Focus ST to help reduce intake restriction a bit, but i know that the 2025 2.0L is completely different, so I'm not too familiar with the flat filters.
