Not sure how old you are, or what health problems you may have, but times have changed. This is a pedal assist ebike and I’m 55 years old and overweight (6’3”, 250 lbs). I can get around on this bike similar to when I was biking at age 25, 210 lbs and very fit.Great pics, thanks for sharing. Makes me wish I was young again to do that .
I just turned 52. I have been into flying drones for the last couple years and drones are not allowed in pretty much every National Park and California State Park. For this, I have been getting into exploring and camping in National Forest and BLM lands. I let my National Park Annual Pass go several years ago. This last winter, I learned that they do allow limited dispersed camping in Death Valley National Park and I had to head out there and check it out. For that trip, I did buy the all parks annual pass again. That means Yosemite Valley is on the list for this winter, while I have the annual passNot sure how old you are, or what health problems you may have, but times have changed. This was an 8 hour day of hiking, biking, hanging out at the lodges and eating at restaurants. 3 hours of it was spent pedaling. The manufacturer claims 70 miles of range on a battery charge, on the “eco” setting. I can legit get 60 miles of range, even at my weight.
I have a DJI Mini 4 Pro and yes it does have the object tracking but I have not messed with it much. The beginning of this video is me experimenting with the object tracking.Great video skills...I know it takes a lot of time. Thanks for sharing!!!
Could I ask? Does your drone have a "follow me" command?
I've been all over that area (on off-road motorcycles) and love the area above Bishop with all the old movie scenes.... especially Alabama Hills. Some amazing scenery all over the area.
Last time I was there a Forest Ranger pulled up to my campsite and told me I had to move...they were having serious problems with aggressive Black Bears. I would have never thought that that area had BEARS.I have a DJI Mini 4 Pro and yes it does have the object tracking but I have not messed with it much. I went through Alabama Hills, last winter, looking for a dispersed campsite, on a Thursday, and no luck lol. It IS very beautiful there. That was one of the early tests for the capabilities of my Tremor. As I got more and more desperate to find an open spot, I went down more and more difficult paths to find a one. I never did. I ended up camping somewhere just north of Alabama Hills, at an old mine shaft, on land that I believe technically belonged to the Los Angeles County Water District hehe
For clarification to people that live in other parts of the country, these bears are not aggressive like a male mountain lion is, or like a grizzly is.Last time I was there a Forest Ranger pulled up to my campsite and told me I had to move...they were having serious problems with aggressive Black Bears. In the no-fly zones, you could try this:I just turned 52. Though, not always the case for bears, except for ones that maybe attack people, I saw a few signs in Florida that said, "A fed gator is a dead gator."For clarification to people that live in other parts of the country, these bears are not aggressive like a male mountain lion is, or like a grizzly is.
The problem is that with California’s massive population, there are thousands of campers that come each year, all of them bringing food. The bears have become semi-tame, knowing that they can go into the camps and get food and that the humans, while not prey, are also not a threat to them. So they will go into your camp and tear through anything that smells tasty. And it’s only if you try to confront them, that they can become a threat.
My preferred dispersed camping sights are usually on hill tops or ridges. I like to stay away from water or meadows to stay away from mosquitoes. I like to think that this preference also reduces my chances of encountering bears, dogs, and cats :-|Last time I was there a Forest Ranger pulled up to my campsite and told me I had to move...they were having serious problems with aggressive Black Bears. Can you tell us about your bike? Can it also go full electric? I am looking to get back into biking and it would be nice to have something that can get me up steep inclines and can carry me if I wear myself out peddling. Not sure how old you are, or what health problems you may have, but times have changed.
