Installed Maxzina mud flaps

It was so easy and quick.
Did all 4 in under 20 minutes and I went slow.
Reused all factory fasteners
eventhough they come with a bunch.
Look like they provide plenty of coverage width.

I used to have these on my Maverick, and they are a very well made product. It should be mentioned that they are one of the few flaps that cover the open area at the back of the LR wheel well completely.

Eventually I decided they were more blocky looking than I wanted and I replaced them with Rockblokz.

I have these sitting in my to do pile so I plan on installing them soon. Glad to hear installation was easy. I believe these also don't rub on the paint in addition to providing great coverage. It seems a lot of these mud flaps can rub on the paint and wear it down over time.

@Tbone289 any issues with washing your Maverick with these Maxzina flaps installed? I hope they would stay in place and not come off under high water pressure?

No worries. I don't typically use high pressure, but I have with other vehicles in the past with similar mounting hardware. These are stout and mounted well. Extra connectors are included that are somewhat stouter than factory.

OK I see the OP reused the original factory hardware so I guess I'll figure out which way to go. So do the push pins come out pretty easy using a trim tool?

Yeah, no problem there. The factory ones can be pulled out and replaced many times. If I remember correctly, there's a pretty nice trim tool included in the kit.

Just circling back around to these Maxzina mud flaps as I have moved them to the top of my to do list before the weather gets bad here. Just curious if you noticed any change in gas mileage with your hybrid with the Maxzina mats installed? I can't imagine it makes much difference (if at all) but figured I would ask. Also how are the Maxzina's holding up?

I was a bit concerned about gas mileage too, they do stick out a bit. They don't seem to cause a problem though.

That's good to hear about the gas mileage. Do you happen to have any pics of them installed on your truck? I know they do stick out a bit but I'm hoping I don't mind the look on mine once I install them. Honestly I bought them for the added protection they provide over other brands so as long as they don't look too big it's a win, win. Any issues when washing the truck with high pressure?

Does the Maxzina kit have an explainer on how to remove the pins? The Mabett ones I bought did not and I was stumped for far too long and was worried I was going to bend the frame itself before I took a step back and watched YT videos until someone finally explained how these pins work.

They are holding up fine and staying firmly attached….haven’t noticed any significant gas mileage change

So your talking about removing the Ford factory pins? Is there sort of trick to it? I guess I'll have to look this up before I install my flaps.
